the prob at the mo MrP is that there is no annoucement of any kind, so we are still in the land of hypothesis and the potential miracle of turning oil into water

The important thing for share holders is the share price as shot up giving them the chance of banking big profits and still having the chance of a 4 bagger

The problem is that greed takes over from sensible decisions.....haven't sold any yet and what bothers me is that I cannot watch the sp all the time for the next week....

150p is the risked value - pre results.

Meaning it should be 150p now before results and then potentially much much higher if the results are good.

1100p is the unrisked oil strike success price target.

interestingly (and factually!), the order book for BOR is quite even, slightly in favour of bids, whereas that for FOGL shows 3x bid to offer

There are 2 ways of looking at this.

If the well was a duster then the price would be 30p now and every man and his dog would be short waiting news.

If the well is good the price would be flying high and every man as his dog would be long.

Given the massive volume of buying and that the City Boys appear scared to death to put any big shorts on - says they have no clue on the result - but some people are confident enough to spend tens of millions of pounds on long positions.


Pump and dump works on stocks like AEX, where you can can generate tens of millions of volume with 800K pounds cause its a penny share.

On BOR yesterday was probably near 20 million pounds of volume. Thats not a pump a dump imo.

Out of interest, RKH took 4 days to complete logging and sampling.

6th May to 10th May 2010 on Sea Lion.

So news may be today, tomorrow or Monday - all depends when logging commenced.


RKH announced oil on 6th and logging/sampling to start.

Then on 10th they announced logging/sampling complete and preliminary results.


Looks to me like BOR will only announce the equivalent to RKH's 10th May 2010 RNS - being the preliminary results of the drill.


And they did say in the spud RNS they will update "when results are known and have been interpreted" which suggests they will not do a RKH 6th May followed by 10th May.

BOR were quite explicit - no news until wireline is done, results are known and have been interpreted. And we know from RKH this takes 4 to 5 days from completion of drilling.
