Several decent figures, as seen in the results, but the revenue is as far as I can tell, lower than forecast (over 10%) and the pension deficit is far in excess of the same period last year causing, the reduction in total consolidated equity to 12.2 million (2008: 70.0 million).
Not trying to look for negatives to justify the several posts of late were I stated my opinions re results not beating expectations and the sp not being effected upward.
The results 'are' better than I expected so readily admit to being wrong in that view. I do like the way the debt, which is still huge and will be a stumbling block coupled with the pension fund problem in and takeover move, is being tackled.
A bit too early to tell the markets view with the early tick up.
Of course it's always good for a companies profits to increase, but if revenue continues to decrease there is only so much profit than can be made out of that reduced amount.
Still nothing to jump up and down about.
Probable be wrong again but can't see the sp doing much, except hovering around 42p to 45p for a while.

Weird or What!!!!!
Just look at todays trades. There are many multiples of small trades, 48/49/61/62 and a few more under 80.
They are all AT shares and surely can't be test trades, so all I can think of is someone has put an order in under the AT system which for some reason is being split into small deals. I know we sometimes see the odd deal for such amounts but with dealing charges and the spread, todays can't be from separate punters. It would cost them around 30 to 40 % in charges.
And they are all buys, Weird or what.
PS.....Hello, Anyone still out there. Its like being married, my wife doesn't listen to me either.

Greekman, you are doing so well on your own :-)
I think they have been a bit mean with the divi, a small % rise would have given the sp a more than proportionate lift. Perhaps it's an indication that they will be holding back on their bonuses as well.......

Hi optomistic,
Should have followed my own instinct re KC. I was on the verge of selling this am after the sp ticked up, but the sp ticked down a tad, just before I pressed the button, so I did not finalise. Oh well win some loose some.
Skinny,
Sorry what about Share Save?

Hull-based ISP Karoo (KCOM, Kingston Communications), which predominantly covers East Yorkshire in the UK, has issued a new update on the developments following its recent 2.75m investment to improve the performance of their broadband network in the East Yorkshire region.
I rang this AM and hopefully, will be up and running within the week.
Will surely mean more business.

Hope my previous post has not mislead anyone, but the info was old. It was from an undated flyer, which when I put Kingston Communications into Google it is also mentioned dated 15/12/09. When I rang Karoo yesterday they thought it was to upgrade my present package and as their system was down they said I would be up and running within 6 days. Today they confirmed I was already on the fastest package. I have not edited my last post in case anyone had read it and then thought I was trying to mis-lead.
Again my apologise.

Hi Optomistic,
Just noticed those big buys.
There must be something stirring the pot.
As it is I sold my main holdings about 3 weeks ago. As they were only bought early this year the sale made me almost 100% profit, which has covered me for the original shares bought (when I was more investment ignorant/naive than I am now) on the companies float, that I still hold.
So all in all, I am now level on KC.

Two 500,000 buys yesterday and yet again big buys this morning.
500,000 x 1
250,000 x 2
Then 750,000 x 1, 350,000 x 2 at mid price but looking at the offer price straight after the buys they are also surely buys.
As these are multiples of the lower amounts there is good indication it is the same buyer.
There must be something happening!
