kimoldfield - 24 May 2012 17:19 - 3945 of 5221

Good things come in small quantities 3M! :o)

No point in me putting new plants in at the moment, I have an invasion of pheasants who delight in chopping the heads off new flowers!

dreamcatcher - 24 May 2012 17:20 - 3946 of 5221

Husky voice not dog lol.

dreamcatcher - 24 May 2012 17:21 - 3947 of 5221

Swap kim you can have my rabbits. What does more damage a pheas or rabbit?

dreamcatcher - 24 May 2012 17:23 - 3948 of 5221

Bedding plants round here have gone through the roof in price. Seem a third up on last year.

kimoldfield - 24 May 2012 17:26 - 3949 of 5221

Not sure DC, I'll have to start taking notes! Possibly the pheasants are more plant destructive in my garden at the moment but there is intense competition between the badgers, squirrels and rabbits as to which can dig the most holes!!

dreamcatcher - 24 May 2012 17:27 - 3950 of 5221

Was it this one kim., I can see him amongst your pots lol

dreamcatcher - 24 May 2012 17:30 - 3951 of 5221

Atleast they give you a hand and dig the holes for the plants, if you could train them they would be worth a fortune in the garden industry. ;-))
Are you sure your not living in a zoo. lol. Or perhaps the pheasants are non seed eating in Wales and have taken to plants.

kimoldfield - 24 May 2012 17:30 - 3952 of 5221

Yes, that's one of them!

kimoldfield - 24 May 2012 17:32 - 3953 of 5221

I sometimes think I am in a zoo DC! The pheasants will eat nearly anything here!!

kimoldfield - 24 May 2012 17:34 - 3954 of 5221

My next door neighbour was bitten by an adder in his garden a few years ago so I am always a bit wary when I go down to the bit which looks like a jungle!

dreamcatcher - 24 May 2012 17:35 - 3955 of 5221

You will have a shooting party in the garden soon. Watch out for lead in your backside.lol

dreamcatcher - 24 May 2012 17:36 - 3956 of 5221

You have just given the game away, so thats where they film Im a celebrity get me out of here.

kimoldfield - 24 May 2012 17:44 - 3957 of 5221

Darn, they'll go and find somewhere else now!

3 monkies - 24 May 2012 17:46 - 3958 of 5221

Sorry about all you destructive creatures - what a shame, at least the rats beggered off so I can now enjoy being outside. Bedding plants are so reasonable around here depending on where one goes of course - (not the posh garden centres). We have so many growers in the area and so much competition that if one just goes locally which I have done a very good price can be accomplished. Makes a change. I am have done 8 surfinia hanging baskets for £3.40 each, not including the compost. That is excellent. We should have a range personal out of (range business sight) on here???

dreamcatcher - 24 May 2012 17:47 - 3959 of 5221

I thought it was filmed in Wales as I thought I saw a sheep in the last show. lol
Now we know.

dreamcatcher - 24 May 2012 17:51 - 3960 of 5221

The garden centres are all posh/ rip off round here 3m. just spent £150 for plants to go round a conservatory. (They must be very rare to cost that much)lol

kimoldfield - 24 May 2012 17:55 - 3961 of 5221

£3.40 is really cheap!

DC, you are either paying too much or you have got a huge conservatory! ;o)
