You are too harsh Bernard! 380 which has been resistance would be a snip of an entry point...think of all those long Winter nights and the Strictly type programme schedule! Doubt you will be able to buy that low though.

Bernard M - 28 Sep 2011 12:23 - 397 of 841

At the end of the day their product is shite.

jj50 - 28 Sep 2011 12:25 - 398 of 841

I agree with you on that but it is the same product that was for sale when the shares were sub 70p when I started the thread! Someone must buy them ;-)

Can only assume their customers also eat Mc Donalds, and those stinking kebabs on a weekend night after having a skinfull. Chav food.

Students all over the U.K., BM. Nothing to do with chavs, just fast food (for poeple who can't be bothered to cook) which lays a good foundation for 10 pints and a few tequila slammers! Plus, as jj50 has pointed out, lots of people are staying in and watching the X Factor, Strictly, Big B.....etc etc and they want delivered, cooked food, so pizza or curry are top of the list.

Looking back to when I mentioned it, I should have shorted on the death cross and gone long on the golden cross the death cross - hindsight is wonderful.

Peel Hunt has lowered its recommendation on on Domino's Pizza to "hold" from "buy" on valuation grounds, despite a strong trading update from the pizza deliverer.

Domino's Pizza posted like-for-like sales growth of 3.9%, up from 2.4% in the first half.

"We see the stock as a core leisure holding with significant further growth in the UK and an exciting opportunity in Germany," the broker said.

"However, the market has already responded with a 32% share price rise in the last three months."

It notes that the shares trade on about 27.1 times earnings, which it sees as "close to fair value."

Bernard M - 29 Sep 2011 15:41 - 407 of 841

No just overvalued. 350p and i am in.

skinny - 29 Sep 2011 15:43 - 408 of 841

Yes the independent say they are buyers! :-)

The pizza delivery firm Domino's group like-for-like sales grew by 3.9%, including Ireland, but by 4.1% in the UK over the 13 weeks to 25 September. Overall, we believe the only spanner in the works is its lofty forward earnings multiple of 23. But with a proven track record in a downturn, roaring sales and an expansion in Germany under way, we are buyers, says the Independent.

The Telegraph has a hold recommendation on Domino's. Analysts expect earnings-per-share growth of 13pc this year and next, which is still pretty impressive - and Questor suspects that the risk to forecasts will be to the upside. However, yesterday's market reaction to a good set of numbers from a quality business showed just how nervous investors are at the moment because of the current market backdrop - and will remain until the turmoil ends.

hlyeo98 - 30 Sep 2011 10:57 - 414 of 841

Their pizzas taste awful nowadays... 14 not worth it.

Morrisons 4 tasted much better.

Bernard M - 30 Sep 2011 11:33 - 415 of 841

We make our own 100 time more nutritious, and no pigs guts, and other shite they put in their belly buster ones. I can not understand why they have not been prosecuted by Trading standards for advertising their product as a pizza.
