Not every well will be successful but this is one hell of a drilling campaign....and loads of news to come in 2010.

Up again, 16p now.....from 10p.....superb increase and should go way beyond 20p...

niceonecyril - 17 Dec 2009 10:33 - 400 of 695

While i agree a great portfolio of assets they also have over 1billion shares (if all warrents are taken?),thats a lot of oil to find. So short term success is very importent if they are to recover the lost ground, certainly in the short term, otherwise 10p again?
Fingers crossed and if oil is found the sentiment will return big time imho?cyril

Max Petroleum Plc, an oil and gas exploration and development company focused on Kazakhstan, is pleased to announce today that the ZMA-A12 development well in the Zhana Makat Field has reached a total measured depth of 883 metres, with electric logs indicating 16 metres of net oil pay over three Jurassic sandstone reservoirs at true vertical depths between 786 and 832 metres, all in line with expectations. The Company has run production casing in the well, which will be completed and tested in the next few weeks. The Sun ZJ-30 drilling rig is currently moving to drill the BOR-1 exploration well on the Borkyldakty prospect in Block E, which is expected to spud on or around 31 December 2009.

The above is from the 15th Dec,if testing is satisfactory and new well spudding annouced in the next week or 2,then 20p will imo be achieved?

mitzy - 11 Jan 2010 09:21 - 411 of 695

Its Matra 's turn today but MXP cant be far off.

niceonecyril - 19 Jan 2010 15:59 - 412 of 695

On 18 January 2010, the Company received notification that, as of 15 January 2010 General Enterprise Management Services (International) Limited ("GEMS") held indirectly a beneficial interest in 50,434,780 ordinary shares in the Company ("Ordinary Shares"), consisting of 9,334,779 Ordinary Shares and a warrant entitling GEMS to acquire a further 41,100,001 Ordinary Shares at an exercise price of 4.54-5.67p per share. If these warrants were exercised (and assuming no other warrants or options in the Company were exercised) the resulting holding of GEMS would represent 10.7% of the voting rights of the then issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

GEMS is the parent undertaking of Asia Resources Fund Ltd, which is the parent undertaking of ARF Energy Limited ("ARF"). ARF is the warrantholder and beneficial owner of the shares.

A lot of shares which is having a dramatic effect on the SP,could be a chance ro get in on the cheap, but getting the timing rught is the trick?

Most oilies up.....this should be a fantastic year for quite a few small exploration companies all over the world.....the ones I prefer are the ones coupled with increasing production.
