Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Had a limit order to buy at 299 then changed it to 302 . Am down 2.4% now but won't be buying again because i have reached the amount i am happy with

I would have trimmed the price down a little, but extended the time frame, as I think this will go a little lower over the next week or two. Of course, depends if you are trading or investing.

I have orders in at 280 and 265 just waiting for a quick dip. With this share you just never know what will happen next!

Mr P is probably busy working out when he might have sold/bought to best effect ..... once he has established that, no doubt he'll post accordingly

I'm trying to work out how's the best way to be stuffed on DES....and as I'm not that good on that...perhaps it might climb....

DES ..... it might hurt, but you may well be best served by biting the bullet albeit that it's a bit late in the day

I have a colleague who has 50K of RKH and 50K of DES. Both were picked up for a few pence a long time ago. He's still quite happy although he probably doesn't know his holdings are worth a lot less today as he is in Kyrgystan right now. I doubt he will have web access as he is off for an interview and away for a week or so.

December update to the Sea Lion appraisal EIS says RKH get the rig back end Jan 2011.

That would mean DES will stop drilling after Jacinta, so it looks like last throw the dice for DES for now, and also RKH get the rig back earlier !

argies are skint i am told and likely to attack early next year to deflect from their own problems at home
