360'000 Market Cap - Seriously undervalued (PAA)

G D Potts - 08 Dec 2006 10:50

Just sealed a deal for 12 years for the World Golf Championship event in China.
China = Growing to become a major player in the golfing world over the next ten years, should be interesting growth prospect.

GDP, these are the latest figures released by the company regarding the shares in issue, which I checked on my calculator before making my last post.

Parallel Media Group PLC - Issue of Equity
Parallel Media Group plc

Issue of Equity

Following the exercise of one of the four options under the agreement between
Parallel Media Group plc (the 'Company') and Pacific Continental Securities
(UK) Limited described in the announcement made on 3 October 2006, the Company
has today allotted to Pacific Continental Securities (UK) Limited 25,641,025
new ordinary shares of 0.5p each in the Company to raise 250,000 for the
Company.

Application is being made for all such new ordinary shares to be admitted to
trading on AIM and it is anticipated that such admission will become effective
and that dealings in such new ordinary shares will start on 3 November 2006.
Following this allotment, the Company will have 272,687,579 ordinary shares in
issue.

END

I don't know why the discrepancy, but since SOLA also managed to ball up their profit figures and represent them as a loss in their new investor presentation, nothing would surprise me.

G D Potts - 08 Dec 2006 12:25 - 5 of 13

lol ok thanks anyway - youve still made a great profit on SOLA though.

G D Potts - 11 Dec 2006 13:30 - 6 of 13

looks like they may be worth a punt in the end.

GDP, Shares Mag recommended this as a Buy this week, as I'm sure you're aware. What's your feeling about the large amount of debt the co is carrying?

Bull points:

- already profitable
- Samsung Open revenue to be recognised in H2, should increase FY profits substantially.
- increase in business providing visibility of future earnings.

Bear points:

- may have to keep issuing further equity to stay afloat and/or provide working capital
- large amount of debt on balance sheet

All IMO, PDYOR, etc.

soul traders - 12 Dec 2006 11:55 - 8 of 13

A bit of a vicious spread as well: PAA Bid: 1p Offer: 2p Change: -0.125

I was just quoted 1.79p offer online.

Will watch and wait.

G D Potts - 12 Dec 2006 15:49 - 9 of 13

yes thats completely put me off any prchase for the time being, any buy has to justify 50%+ upside just to cover loss made on the purchase, let alone the sale.
Probably best to stick with GTL at the moment lol!

I remember asking you about ITM a while back, it seems they are looking even cheaper now, i think below 100p they're definately worth a punt.

diydave - 28 Feb 2007 13:26 - 10 of 13

GDP, ST,
Pacific Continental have been on to me this morning pushing these VERY hard, so they've obviously not unloaded all their recent acquisition yet. They quote yet another issued share total, 62m which equates to MC of around 1m, so heaven knows where the truth lies!
PC must be getting worried though as they are offering them at 1.5p when this morning's bid is 2p which is almost a 'too good to be true' boiler room kind of offer... they are predicting 'record 1m profits to be announced this month'. How come they are privilege to this price sensitive information? On the other hand, as they bought them for 1p, 50% profit is a very nice couple of month or so return is it not?.. so maybe its a case of a 'bird in the hand etc' for PC... off-load them while the going's good!

The company (PAA) seems to have some merit now it has sorted out its Chinese partnership problems but the fact that they are so heavily involved with PC with its highly dodgy reputation leads me to believe not all is as rosy at it seems.

peeyam - 18 Apr 2007 09:49 - 11 of 13

PC always offer below offer cos they aquired only at .5 so even 1.5p for them = 200% gain. As fr as i am aware a friend tried to buy 30,000 from her broker who also happens to be MM on the share and they said they dont have ??? is MM short of shares on this one ? any ideas
