Norcros Trading Profit Ahead----Just (NXR)

2517GEORGE - 24 Jun 2010 12:17

Norcros reported results for year ended 31/03/2010. In a tough sector revenue increased 10% to 169m, generating 10m+ cash flow, profit dented by finance costs, net debt down to 15.9m from 45.8m thanks to huge share issue Dec 2009.

In a sector reliant on the consumer and housebuilding it's going to be another tough year, but with net debt down and the associated finance costs reduced, progress should be possible, another encouraging sign 2 directors buying at the current sp of 8p.

Excellent 1st qtr results in a tough environment, sp has been slowly but surely reflecting the improved trading.

Good luck George. Not been on my radar. Only 52m market cap so quite small.

Thanks HARRYCAT-----NXR progressing well atm, I feel the highs of last September should be attainable.

I intended NXR to be a longer term holding but sold short of the recent high, whilst the profit was modest it's certainly better than a poke in the eye with a wooden stick.

Listen to Nick Kelsall, Group Chief Executive of Norcros, on their pre close statement and expected ~£210m revenue, which represents year on year growth of 5% on a reported basis and 10% on a constant currency basis.Click here to go to the webcast
