This stock has gone downhill for some time, and since late yesterday is bouncing back, but at your peril.

Strict discipline and quality control. David Reading has relentless ambition, diligence and perseverance but unaware of the need for strict quality control and strict discipline control in the employees in his subsidiary company. Deliberately discharging toxic effluent into the river by his employees reveals a serious flaw in the management's competence and moral standard. Some companies grow steadily with sophisticated growth strategy with plan A along with backup plan B and plan C and with strict discipline in all segments of its operation, some companies with strong future growth potential but fail due to lack of disciplines and control. When you have a 100% kinetic energy, your potential energy is zero, you will be likely to be derailed by negligence, oversight or negative external impact. If you have 100% potential energy you will have zero kinetic energy, you are just a sitting duck and go nowhere. If you grow a family without constantly disciplining your children, they will turn drug addicts and may commit crime thus ruining the reputation of the whole family.
Balancing the kinetic and potential energy is essential to maintain your forward momentum while maintaining negative feedback and stability. Balancing the speed of the company's growth and protecting the company from harm and disaster is essential for its steady and continuous growth. When you are in hurry to achieve the production objectives in quantity, you may neglect some weakness in some sectors of the operation, that weakness can bring the company down.

Here is what happened that caused the share price to crash from 13 cents area down to 5 cents as shareholders sell in panic. The discharge of toxic effluent into the river is not an accident but a deliberate criminate act. While I am bullish on the company's potential, I am cautious about what action the government will take and what the banks will decide on granting the company an loan re-schedule. Investors should not over invest and put all their life savings into it, they should invest what they can afford to lose.
Share price will unlikely continue to rise until good news that the problem has been resolved, those who bought at lower prices should take profit and maintain "wait and see" attitude. In the worse case, the Liberia government may not allow production re-start for many months because it is deliberate criminal act, and as the company default in loan payment without granting loan re-schedule, the company could be forced into bankruptcy with its assets sold.

From 1st June 2016:
Aureus Mining set to restart New Liberty in coming days
08:26 01 Jun 2016
Aureus has been negotiating a new repayment schedule with the lenders
Liberia-based gold miner Aureus Mining Inc (LON:AUE, TSE:AUE) has further deferred first repayment of its debts to its lender group until 30 June.
Aureus has been negotiating a new repayment schedule with the lenders after teething problems at its New Liberty mine last year and a tailings issue recently badly disrupted gold production.
Remedial work on the tailings detoxification circuit is nearing completion, said Aureus and it expects to receive permission to re-start processing operations in the coming days after operations were suspended at the start of May.
Mining of ore is continuing, it added.
