morning all
not been around much of late as been very busy with the house. finally starting to make decent progress - the renovation part is now structurally finished and the concrete floors have been laid and the rendering should be finished this week. The drains and foundations for the extension have been passed off and the brickie started yesterday. markets seem to be no fun presently, so staying mainly in cash (except a couple of oil stocks and one pharma)
Coffee and a FEB will do the trick this am

Morning the two of you, nice to see you both, sounds like you are making some progress Fundy, no doubt all of a sudden it will look like a house again, then you will have that great feeling of satisfaction :-)
Spacie, keep working.

Well done Fundy - planning stuff out of the way and men on site
working - your patience has paid off - hope all continues to go to
plan and you're pleased with the results, :>)
Spacie - only a 9 hour meeting, they just aren't working you hard
enough are they! ( just joking!)
Seriously - 9 HOURS!!! - I'd be asleep I swear after that long sitting
and listening/humouring, you have my sympathy I can tell you.
Morning Opto - checked the tea and it's fine, light lunch I think
today....selection of salads, crusty bread rolls and cold meats and
cheeses, followed by a beautiful array of fresh fruits - the mangoes
are lovely by the way, grapes juicy and sweet, dates just yummy!!

Whatever floats your boat Opto, if it's bacon butties then it's
bacon butties, although don't tell jimmy I'm cooking them, cos he
might moan about not cooking his FEB yesterday - BUT I do have an
excuse, it's lunchtime time now so not as early and it's just bacon
which I can cope with.
HP sauce??

Bunny, do you want to know what "floats my boat"

Anything to do with Archimedes' Principle, Jeffie, in that the boat must displace an amount of water which is equal to its own weight?

You sarfend birds are far too intelligent for me

LOL I'm glad you answered that Hils, a far more acedemic answer
then mine would have been! ;>)
So Jeffie, you're looking for a yacht then are you?

Actually Bunny, the academic stuff is a bit too much for me too. I was watching Lorraine Kelly on TV this morning and, apparently, girly fashion is currently moving away from "cheese-cutters" in favour of so-called "boy pants". Do you have a view on that Jeffie? Peter Stringfellow prefers his cheese-cutters and they had a picture of him wearing some. I nearly choked on my muesli.

Hils
Maybe I'm getting old.... on the 3rd floor of my bank we have the banking operations, this is where the normal people work. Whenever I go down there I see at least one moose bending over a filing cabinet showing her cheese cutter. NOT A PRETTY SIGHT

Unfortunately, Jeff, it's always the lardy ones who like to show them off.

So true Hils! But you both realise this is all betraying our ages,
as the young and trendy are either showing off the tops of their
boxers above their low slung trousers or showing their cheese cutters
above their equally low slung trouser tops!! The problem with those
very low slung trousers for us girlies is if you are devoid of real
hips or a bum like J Lo you can't wear them cos you're always in danger
of them falling down completely! LOL

Actually Bunny, I hate to disappoint but I'm a cheese-cutter girl who frequently wears low slung jeans. Sorry.
