i am not sure about that...i think that if there is an overhang then when cleared these will spring up when cleared. who knows how large the block is they are selling...maybe mm's will find the other side with the prospective good news on the horizon.

This share always goes down when the price of oil goes up.

That is the pattern.

No panics here, I amy have a few more if it drop another 1/4p

seawallwalker - 23 Sep 2004 11:52 - 404 of 7811

That happened quicker than I thought, just slipped under 15.50, so I have taken advatage by another 20000.

All this after making a few quid on Hardman this morning ;-)

proptrade - 23 Sep 2004 12:01 - 405 of 7811

like it...putting your money where your mouth is. nice one.

not sure i agree with the oil price/share price correlation though....

seawallwalker - 23 Sep 2004 12:06 - 406 of 7811

Well it is a pattern I have noticed, I may be wrong, would not be the first time!

Big Al has just commented on the PCI thread, the the FBB is poplated by a bunch of goons, that is more near the mark I reckon.

:-)

proptrade - 23 Sep 2004 12:20 - 407 of 7811

SWW, you know i am just kidding...we are all right some of the time and wrong about an equal amount!

waht is that about PCI?

Have a look at Petroceltic. The thread is underneath this one. Dunno if you hold or would in your position, but I thought it worth a small punt so I did.

Price is below what I paid at the moment, so could be bargain bucket time.

On the other hand may be too risky?

proptrade - 23 Sep 2004 15:10 - 409 of 7811

looks interesting but i am really happy with my oils exposure right now. i also punt around down in australia, always some interesting names down there...

seawallwalker - 23 Sep 2004 15:48 - 410 of 7811

True.

I do not have the kitchen sink on it, and stand to make a very nice gain, may come quicker than SEY, if it does I will take it and run, unlike SEY, which I will hold for a very long time...............zzzzzzzzzzzz

proptrade - 23 Sep 2004 15:59 - 411 of 7811

i know how you feel. when i started this thread i thought the news would come in domino style but instead has been dragged out over ages. the good news is that at least we now have HNR updates regularly.

i have a few AMEC at the moment which is slipping down my leg (so to speak). they are potentially a t/o target according to the sunday times and FT articles. i did some homework and fancy them short term. i am in higher than here but could see them be taken out at 380-400. sorry to mix stocks here but am a tad bored!

seawallwalker - 24 Sep 2004 07:31 - 412 of 7811

That's fine.

I invest in these for exactly the same reason.

gavdfc - 24 Sep 2004 11:19 - 413 of 7811

What a boring day so far. A snippet from Pre's results just out:

"This is a good time to be an energy producer, particularly in the U.S. where
there is an ever growing gap in oil and gas supply versus demand. Worldwide oil
production capacity is stretched. It takes time to bring new reserves on stream
so unless Chinese demand falls, a continued period of high oil prices look
likely.

Gas is different. The U.S. is becoming increasingly dependent on natural gas.
Demand is forecast to grow by 35 per cent. to 2025. Production has not kept
pace with rising demand. The market price of natural gas reflects the tight
balance between supply and demand."

Well no results today, must be Monday then. Took the opportunity of topping up today, couldn't resist the urge.

seawallwalker - 27 Sep 2004 10:14 - 415 of 7811

Nice big buy today:- 500000

proptrade - 27 Sep 2004 10:19 - 416 of 7811

good spot. so when do we see 20p guys, this is so static!

hilary - 27 Sep 2004 10:21 - 417 of 7811

Take a chill pill, guys.

proptrade - 27 Sep 2004 10:23 - 418 of 7811

we are the pure definition of chill pills on this thread...its just a bit of frustration coming through!

seawallwalker - 27 Sep 2004 11:28 - 419 of 7811

protrade.

You normally tell me this sort of thing.

Hang on in there.

You know what is going on in the bcackground.

Mauritannia is an almost certain venture, the price will rise.

20p is not enough, if Mauritannia works we vcan expect mega!

'Course if it don't we get back or stake!!!!

gavdfc - 27 Sep 2004 11:34 - 420 of 7811

Wait until the chill pills wear off, good things come to those who wait! Now where are these results!!

proptrade - 27 Sep 2004 12:14 - 421 of 7811

am am feeling the love on this thread!

we certainly have the best support on this thread and i think the all in this together attitude certainly shines through.

i have say that i am as disciplined as ever but you know how it is sometimes when you watch a price hover without making strides when you know you are backing a winner.

and back to that 20p comment...my apologies! i wouldn't dream of selling there and since most of us have a nice buffer from where they are now we are in for a two bag plus bonanza.

happy days, steam now blown off
