i was in a little bit at 4, 5, 6, and 10 quid, i've done really well, thery're up again today, i'm really considering selling though, i,ve accumulated more and more just to keep doubling my money, i think i've had a good run and i'll buy some more Sterling, i do feel that the value is gone, i think they're going to be bought out so i'll keep some, bank some profit, have a holiday and wait for SEY to do the same.

ramraid - 23 Jun 2004 10:05 - 42 of 7811

Prop, what's yor target on SEY ??

I'm going to take some profit when they get to 30p and then just leave the rest in as a free bet. I'm going to have Gordon Brown all over me like a rash next year so i'm going to have to bed & breakfast some.

proptrade - 23 Jun 2004 11:11 - 43 of 7811

nicely done on the cairn. if i was holding i would certainly take my capital out and just run the profit (with a timely B&B at some point).

with SEY i will take my capital out when they double and run with the profits. i do feel strongly about realising gains and being an ex-proprietary trader my instinct is to always bank a profit after a decent turn.

I think near term SEY will top 20p, and once the drilling comes through could easily touch 50p.

what about yourself?

seawallwalker - 23 Jun 2004 11:20 - 44 of 7811

Hi you 2.

Nice dialogue.

See we are on the up again today.

Great!!

proptrade - 23 Jun 2004 11:36 - 45 of 7811

absolutely. this is the HUGE difference between a stock like SEY and the likes of EEN. My surprise is that more investors aren't on board yet. The likelyhood is that once drilling commences then we will see a steady move to the upside.

ramraid - 23 Jun 2004 13:12 - 46 of 7811

i don't know what to think, i originally bought Cairn hoping for a 30% profit in 12 months, now look at them, who knows what SEY could go up to !! i'm very confident that these will be a medium to long term play, in a couple of years i wouldn't be surprised to see them at well over a 1.00 that's just with the production they have now, i wouldn't even guess if this africa thing is as good as they say. remember that the guys in charge are all ex BP, that's who we drilled for in Angola, they know something i'm sure, you don't spent 40 million quid on a company for no reason. they wanted that license plain and simple...

proptrade - 23 Jun 2004 13:20 - 47 of 7811

yup, couldn't agree more. are you ex-oil industry?

ramraid - 23 Jun 2004 13:46 - 48 of 7811

yes i worked in exploration on semi submersibles, north sea, norway and west africa, for diamond drilling and transocean, when the oil price dropped to 15$ barrel exploration is what the oil companies cut back on, left in 99, been in telecomms ever since, i hear from mates still in the game that exploration is booming again, especially west africa, there was one air france flight a week in and out of luanda when i was there, now theres 2 a day because of the oil business.

anyway mate off for a few beers now, i'm in taiwan rolling out a 3G Network on a contract for nokia at the moment and it's nearly 9pm and i've not had a scoop yet....

speak to you soon

proptrade - 23 Jun 2004 13:58 - 49 of 7811

enjoy, i used to work in singapore so know your neck of the woods well. have a good beer, speak tomorrow...

seawallwalker - 23 Jun 2004 22:41 - 50 of 7811

Good rise today.

If it continues, your forecasts will be accurate.

share trader - 24 Jun 2004 00:10 - 51 of 7811

ramraid,

I have added recently, SEY look a good bet to me

I wonder how high they can go, any guesses?

ramraid - 24 Jun 2004 05:05 - 52 of 7811

share trader,

my crystal ball is a little clouded at the moment, the one thing i would say is that being a trader myself, i am moving away from that process nowadays, this share is for holding, believe me if you do wish to trade it, just take some profit every couple of months or so, once it hits 20p + it will become very volatile, i've seen it so many times, it could lose 10% in a day easily and we panic, i've done it before, this time once it hits 20p i'm going to try my best to forget about it, we have to , it scares me what this could be trading at in 3 years, this could easily double every 3-4 months til then.the thing we have to remember is that high oil prices are here to stay now, if the supply line in Saudi is hit, we are all in the S***. Mass inflation, high interest rates, unemployment you name it, it will happen. The big players are all trying to reduce they're exposure to the middle east, it will take time, africa, canada, russia, antartica are the places to be, SEY have Africa, cheapest labour costs in the world and drilling starts in a month.

the worst case scenario for SEY in my opinion , is they get bought out for they're licences.the guys who run the company are all ex big noises at BP, they're not stupid, if your going to hold a risky stock, with no risk you have to have SEY.

seawallwalker - 24 Jun 2004 07:46 - 53 of 7811

ramraid, summed up beautifully.

proptrade - 24 Jun 2004 09:56 - 54 of 7811

i couldn't agree more. as said earlier in the post, take out some capital when they double and then keep them. there is nothing spivvy about SEY and management over the last year has proved itself by delivering results.

proptrade - 24 Jun 2004 11:11 - 55 of 7811

continuing to rise....

seawallwalker - 24 Jun 2004 12:00 - 56 of 7811

Loads of buys, price not reflecting that yet.

Cancel that, there She goes...............

HNR & JKX moving too.

seawallwalker - 24 Jun 2004 12:13 - 57 of 7811

Looks like a pattern I have seen before with the price, is it possible the MM are trying to hold this one back?

ramraid - 24 Jun 2004 13:15 - 58 of 7811

i think you may be right, look at the bid price, it's a lot lower than the buy, the swines want people to sell it cheap and then they'll sell it on at a fat premium. good news for us though.

Andy - 24 Jun 2004 15:36 - 59 of 7811

All oil stocks moving nicely today.
