DYOR - - - - - - - - - Biom Technologies mid-July 2010 AIM
This is the new resting place for Stanelco, the wonder producer of starch-based food-trays...only they didn't catch on.Over the last 10 years to 2010 the 0.1p shares traded abour 2.5p then shot up to 24p during 2005 with promise of Tray-Trials I understand. Within a year or so, they fell to new depths and finished at 0.2p Of course they were full-list then and some were held in ISA's hoping there would be a big profit...only now these are distressed sales as the Company slunk off to AIM, presumably "...to provide better shareholder-value"
Perhaps someone closer to the Co. can explain why the new name is Biome
....rhymes with Home. Often it is done to remove the previous sp-history.
Could it be..so new investors can bask in ignorance, etc. I'm not aware of any "change" in fortune for SEO, rather the reverse.
In my limited experience, the longer the name of a company the longer you have to wait for any return...Huh . . . . . .
. SEO had been a terrible investment.
DYOR.
Can Biome be any worse...?
EDIT ( 24April2017)- "just woken up" -me not BIOME - sp is 154, but I note about June 2013 there was what looks like a CONsolidation . . do I recall many LT investors were sold-short?... as I believe the (new share) numbers were terrible! . . . Anyone?

If Biome tried to design a sinking brick, it would probably float!
This share has gone down so fast in the last few years, it would make your ear drums burst.
I wonder if Edward John Smith (Titanic captain) and Mines are related.

Hi Skinny,
This is a reply to your post re Biome on the Bugs and Problem thread (I think you got the thread wrong).
I also sent my complaint to the LSE as well as the FSA.
I received a one liner from the LSE advising me to complain to the FSA (the LSE were not interested).
If it will help I can send you via MoneyAm a draft of the report I sent.
I can't send the final report as I did not keep a hard copy, but the only difference is the final report was better worded.
Regards Greek.

Skinny,
E-Mail on it's way.
You will see by all the 'good progress' reports mentioned by what was then Stanelco, the future looked fantastic.
It does make one wonder just how misleading a companies board have to be regarding shareholders for the FSA to take action.
I know the FSA is no more, thanks goodness, but anyone who feels the FCA will do a better job, don't hold your breath.

Trading Update
Trading Update
Total Group revenues achieved for the first three months of the year were £0.4m (Q1 2012: £4.6m including contributions from Biotec). We anticipate performance this year to be second half weighted and consequently expect sales growth to increase in both divisions as the year progresses.
The Group's cash position at 31st March 2013 was £5.8m (31st December 2012: £6.3m).
We continue to make progress with the strategy, as set out at our full year results, to commercialise and develop wholly owned intellectual property. and our performance remains in line with the Board's expectations.

Issue of shares to a Director
Total Voting rights
Further to the announcement of 28 March 2013 the Company has issued 12,800,000 new ordinary shares of 0.1p each ("Ordinary Shares") to Capita Trustees Limited which will be transferred to Leapacross Ltd ("Leapacross"), a company of which John Standen is a director and the majority shareholder, pursuant to the first tranche of the consultancy agreement with Leapacross.
Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for admission of the new Ordinary Shares and dealings are expected to occur on 29 April 2013. Following the issue of the new Ordinary Shares, the total issued share capital and total voting rights of the Company is 5,897,666,333 Ordinary Shares with voting rights. This figure may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
Might as well round it up to 6 Billion and be done with it!!!

430,000 existing shares for 1 share GB 430.00
then each GB 430.00 subdivided into 177 New Ordinary shares of 5p and 177 deferred shares of 2.379.
Holders with less than 43,000 existing ordinary shares will not receive any entitlement to new ordinary shares and therefore will cease to be shareholders in the co., holders with less than 43,000 shares or whose holding is not exactly devisable by 43,000 will instead receive a fractional payment in lieu of their entitlement to a fraction of a New Ordinary Share.
That rules me out as I have only got 215,39 shares which cost me £2,106.51 and are worth -£2,091.43. Lordy Lordy, does one buy more to get to 430,000 or loose the lot. I am having a senior moment here, too many of them these days for the blood pressure. I just hope I am reading this wrong but after 4 reads I don't think so. It came up as important information on my Halifax share dealing. Halifax is recommending them as a buy - what! 8 dam years I think I have had these. The same for a lot of others I know.
