Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

Sounds about right. Hoping for the sp to drift further as need to buy a few of these. Looking forward to renewed frantic action as they reach TD. Not much reaction here to the FOGL news which is a bit surprising, imo.

@HC "Was hoping for sub 350p, but now looks unlikely." "...today" (ie the 24th Jan)

Not looking unlikely today though HC

A bit selfish of me, but need a cheap entry level, so am now tempted to put a limit buy on the system at.........345ish? Still at least 7 days to go until the hype starts, imo.

The upside cold be fantastic....and the downside might be at a guess no more than 50p......

Falklands threads gone quiet as of late...but I bet we are in for a wake up call very soon...

Time Traveller - 26 Jan 2011 20:09 - 4154 of 6294

That would be good. A bit of froth to increase the price would be nice.
It's not nearly high enough right now!

If they hit oil anything like sea lion....6 or 7 within an hour.....

cynic - 27 Jan 2011 15:54 - 4158 of 6294

what i find extraordinary is that FOGL price keeps trying to rise, though i can see no logic for that at all - no oil; wrong place and so on and so forth

required field - 27 Jan 2011 16:00 - 4159 of 6294

And I bet that Borders and Argos and Desire will rise if there is a strike.....they say that sometimes a stock next to another stock but nothing to do with whatever the main rising one will rise as well...during the dotcom boom : this happened many a time....

cynic - 27 Jan 2011 16:03 - 4160 of 6294

i could readily understand that with both DES and Argos, but FOGL may as well be on another planet

markymar - 27 Jan 2011 16:11 - 4161 of 6294

Cynic a bag of coal is at a record high, are you back or still away?
