cynic - 25 Apr 2013 12:37 - 4157 of 5505

perhaps i got it arse-about-face as to exactly who was bulshitting whom in that case :-)

the way i read it was that one party (i thought it was the excalibur scallies) couldn't remember all sorts of relevant facts, lied or intentionally misled a number of authorities and potential sources of finance, and thus blew themselves out of the water when they could not come up with the splosh when it was demanded and required against a deadline

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki did not win the political majority that would have enabled him to form local governments by himself, according to the results of the local elections held in 12 Iraqi provinces. In the coming period, he will be required to engage in a fierce struggle with political blocs, some of which — even Shiite ones — are his opponents.

. Wrong thread

chipnlouie - 26 Apr 2013 12:32 - 4160 of 5505

and it is equally clear that the GKP executives also have no idea how to act with decorum in court..................

new here, hello chaps. what do you base that on. were you at court?

cynic - 26 Apr 2013 12:38 - 4161 of 5505

during the course of the hearing, there were regular reports from ringside

chipnlouie - 26 Apr 2013 12:44 - 4162 of 5505

thanks cynic, are you able to point me to the posts that led you to think what you said. are the reports you mention on this board or another website. just trying to get to facts. good luck.

HARRYCAT - 26 Apr 2013 12:58 - 4163 of 5505

niceonecyril is a prolific updater for this thread, so you would need to trawl back through the pages to find the relevant bits, but he did daily post the details of the proceedings.

chipnlouie - 26 Apr 2013 13:10 - 4164 of 5505

thanks , i'm still trying to figure out how to go back in time on this board!

cynic - 26 Apr 2013 13:11 - 4165 of 5505

"earlier posts" or "page"

HARRYCAT - 26 Apr 2013 13:14 - 4166 of 5505

Try around page 190.

oops, ' earlier post' button.

chipnlouie - 26 Apr 2013 14:03 - 4168 of 5505

thanks alot for the link. i was just wondering what was reported to justify cynic saying,
'and it is equally clear that the GKP executives also have no idea how to act with decorum in court, thus losing at least an element of credibility'

i've probably read the court feedback before elsewhere but i'll go back to your link later and read what's on this board. anyway niceonecyril refutes what cynic says .

cynic - 26 Apr 2013 14:09 - 4169 of 5505

my recollection - and i admit it was often difficult to determine exactly who was saying or doing what - was that EXC's management/owners were less than consistent or convincing in their evidence ..... however, GKP's equivalent, certainly at one point, seemed to be treating the court rather like a perry mason drama

halifax - 26 Apr 2013 14:18 - 4170 of 5505

cynic who is chipnlouie seems to be gunning for you ....surely not MRSI in another guise?

cynic - 26 Apr 2013 14:21 - 4171 of 5505

i don't think so, but wouldn't much care if that was the case

chipnlouie - 26 Apr 2013 14:54 - 4172 of 5505

i'm not 'gunning' for you cynic, i'm not mrsi. i'm new and didn't know this board was plagued with the usual BB tiffs. anyhoo i'll stick to lurking so not to upset halifax.

cynic - 26 Apr 2013 15:01 - 4173 of 5505

oh don't worry about friend hali; he really is an ok guy and no doubt thought i needed his protective arm round my shoulders :-) ...... generally speaking, this board is very well-mannered and good humoured, though inevitably some spite and idiocy (prob from me even!) occasionally creeps in

by the way, was i wrong with my recollection and/or interpretation of what went on in court?

chipnlouie - 26 Apr 2013 15:08 - 4174 of 5505

btw cynic, i was curious because the court reporters made it sound like a slam dunk for gkp . it sounded too good to be true. just saw this post in another place........

- you can buy a copy of some excellent notes for 300$ or wait a month and do it through the court disclosure request for a transcript- then again all the rodneys on the board have got legal advice to show Excalibur didnt have a case - when errrr - dont envisage it being a clear cut decision - due to the multiples involved - perhaps even an appeal -

cynic - 26 Apr 2013 15:17 - 4175 of 5505

so i'm not such a dimwit after all!
