Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

Approval was given to allow amendments to the environmental clauses in the offshore Minerals Ordinance (1994). This amendment will make it mandatory for EIAs and EISs to be undertaken when companies seek approval to drill exploration, appraisal and production wells and conduct Drill Stem Tests offshore.

FALKLANDS oil explorer ROCKHOPPER was on the move yesterday amid talk of a second discovery in the South Atlantic. Shares climbed 12.87p to 386.87.....i hope so!!!!!
The question is, why did it go from 360p up to 388p on no news. So sp has now reverted back to it's fair value level. I seem to remember this happening before and the news turned out to be terrific.
One thing for sure RKH keep a tight ship and we wont find out untill an RNS.
Off subject this but did anyone see the news last night of a jewellery shop being raided by 6 thugsSuper granny to the rescue!!!! Amazing courage deserves a mention.
