Proselenes - 10 Dec 2010 13:31

.

''Development of the blocks will be funded through existing funds and cashflow''.

No fund raising then, so even better news.

Has anyone got any thoughts about Traders Own for dealing?

http://www.tradersown.co.uk/

I've opened an account and at £6 per trades looks like a good deal. I was wondering if any of you have looked into this.

dreamcatcher - 12 Jun 2012 21:07 - 4250 of 5221

shareCruiser , I tend to deal through the Halifax. Tradersown was incorporated in 2010
being a 2 year old company. They are FSA backed. My only thought would be in a busy selling or buying period how would they cope compared to the big boys, they may well match them. In my view only, you can only give them a go and increase your transactions with them over a period of time if you are happy with the service provided.

Range Resources (LON:RRL) slipped 8% to 8.35p during early trading after the company said it has entered into an economic participation agreement with Petro Caribbean Resources Limited, under which the company will earn a 65% economic interest in Blocks PUT-6 and PUT-7 located in Colombia in return for funding the commitments under the Production Sharing Agreement with the National Hydrocarbons Agency of Colombia. Has option to move to 75% interest. To provide funding for 3D seismic and two wells. Joint venture partners to review opportunity to appraise and potentially re-enter a shut in well on Block PUT-7. Plans to re-enter the well late 2012.

DC, I am about 70 miles away from the flooded area. Very little chance of flooding in my house fortunately (unless the pipes burst!). It is a nasty experience for those involved.

dreamcatcher - 13 Jun 2012 06:24 - 4253 of 5221

Sounds like you live in a tree house kim. :-))rrl on the ASX down 7.41%

ShareCruiser - 13 Jun 2012 08:15 - 4254 of 5221

Thanks DC

I dyd a trade when there was high volume with Halifax. I was refused first time but tried immediatly after and succeeded. Halifax is good for me as I do little trading and no annual charge.

ShareCruiser - 13 Jun 2012 13:00 - 4256 of 5221

I've just check Halifax and they charge £11.95 per trade.

I'll give Traders Own a go at £6 per trade. I'm switching all my investments (not a lot) from SelfTrade. I hope it works out.

dreamcatcher - 13 Jun 2012 19:53 - 4257 of 5221

Let us know how it goes SC. Horn down 6.67%

dreamcatcher - 13 Jun 2012 20:39 - 4258 of 5221

ouch Horn down 10.29%

dreamcatcher - 14 Jun 2012 06:37 - 4259 of 5221

Good rise on the ASX for RRL up 8.33%

3 monkies - 14 Jun 2012 19:28 - 4260 of 5221

Maybe the LSE should have a price enquiry as to why these went up on the AXS haha!! Not funny DC, only joking. Peed completely off, probably just like yourself.

dreamcatcher - 14 Jun 2012 19:38 - 4261 of 5221

Hi 3m, Looks like Range is being heavily shorted. The TT news would be best given on
Monday now. Once we have a clear idea on Europe. Could well be another red day
Friday, perhaps with investors preferring cash.

3 monkies - 14 Jun 2012 19:58 - 4262 of 5221

Tending to give up hope on the lot at the moment, not wishing to be depressing. Running out of cleaning cloths dusting the empty picture frame haha!! Raining again here, hope you had your hose pipe ban restrictions lifted.

dreamcatcher - 14 Jun 2012 20:04 - 4263 of 5221

Not yet 3m on the hose pipe ban. The rain will water the garden tonight.
The only good point of a low sp at the moment being if PL does go ahead with a share buy back, then more shares can be purchased for a £1.

dreamcatcher - 14 Jun 2012 20:07 - 4264 of 5221

Horn staying in the blue, up 1.56%

3 monkies - 14 Jun 2012 21:07 - 4265 of 5221

Then that must be a consoldation DC.

3 monkies - 14 Jun 2012 21:09 - 4266 of 5221

Spelling mistake in the above.

dreamcatcher - 14 Jun 2012 21:20 - 4267 of 5221

shares can also be bought back by a company to return capital to investors and in order to increase the value of shares held by the remaining shareholders. This is because the value of the company remains the same, but the percentage of the company held by the remaining shareholders increases (due to the reduced number of shares over which the value is spread). Therefore, the value of each share increases.

Like we have said before do not want a share consolidation ie 10 shares for one.
Always a bit concerned that the company then can start the issue of more shares.
Happy with the first paragraph not the second.
