pretty new to all this. I have pumped some into Deltex - looks like a strong product with good growth. Could be a steady gainer.
Does anyone else have this, and anyone have some research on it? Someone with more experience than me!

Today a decent rise already on low volume, and a rise yesterday on little trading. Looks like chasing shares for one on the institutions buying in the background. Will be interesting to see if any institutional buys are published within the next couple of days.

On the Everest expedition....

We may not get much news daily as we are just one of many pieces of kit being taken up the mountain, but when the trade press report, we should see a bit more.

However, we will be getting good TV exposure for Mike Grocott (who is leading the Everest team & one of those aiming for the summit) and Monty Mythen. Both of those gentlemen are co-authors of the first clinical meta-analysis which is expected to be published later this year and both are founder members of the Improving Surgical Outcomes Group as well. I think we can safely say this is not a bad thing.

Mike Grocott will be going all the way to the summit. Monty Mythen is leading the children's science bit, but he won't be going all the way to the top.

The meta analysis was actually announced by DEMG September the 26th last year.

The results are now being prepared and updated and will be submitted for publication in a peer reviewed medical journal. This is a clinical version of the US government approach published in their Health Technology Assessment earlier. Its very positive in showing that there is a reduced length of hospital stay. None of the studies being considered for meta analysis show any effect on mortality. None were designed to do so!

The French study (from previous RNS's) is expected to show an impact on actual mortality but that may be a couple of years away from completion.

I'll just mention a small extract from that RNS last September....

'Healthcare providers around the world employ meta-analyses to support decisions
about funding and reimbursement of new medical technologies. Examples of
organisations that undertake such analyses are the National Institute for Health
and Clinical Excellence (NICE) in the UK and the Agency for Health Research and
Quality (AHRQ) in the USA.'

As I have alwayd said, for the patient among us, eventually, it will be a case of 'slowly, slowly...catchee monkey!'. If we get a major tipping point, then I think we can chuck 'slowly' away and catch every Simian on the planet...and beyond. What is a group of monkeys called by the way? Is it a herd or something?

Yet again, a good write up, although one name made me do a double take. I didn't have my glasses on (eyesight going a bit ) and read Monty Mythen as Monty Python. OK Glasses on hearing aid in (only joking ) back to normality.

Like you I am now looking at this share to make steady progress over the next few years, with hopefully a few major tipping points along the way.

Would be nice to speculate on where the sp will be in about 5 years, but as Im not into that, I will only speculate to myself.

No surprise here re sales, imo this trend will continue and at a greater pace as the benefits are seen.

Deltex is building it markets in Fast-track or enhanced recovery surgical programmes using CardioQ(TM) oesophageal Doppler monitor as a standard of care in the treatment of patients undergoing major surgery. Progress is being made in the UK and continental Europe marketplace.

However the company is now expanding in to the major USA market and are currently working with a number of US hospitals, including two institutions rated as among the top 10 US hospitals, to support the implementation of routine use of the CardioQ in major surgery. Deltex is on a winner with their CardioQ product, Doctors and the administrators of hospitals are at long last waking up to the proven facts, that by implementing the use of CardioQ its helps to save time, bed-space plus costs and most of all lives. Deltex is on the brink of dominating the need for hospitals to use CardioQ as standard practise which in turn will give profits to the bottom line, and my bank balance.

The patient is doing ok.

Always nice to see options taken up. No matter how small in volume. Shows confidence in the company.

800,000 options, I believe. That's almost 1% of the company.

Today's rise is very pleasant. Anticipation of CMS decision perhaps?

CMS has determined that there is sufficient evidence to conclude that esophageal Doppler monitoring of cardiac output for ventilated patients in the ICU and operative patients with a need for intra-operative fluid optimization is reasonable and necessary under Section 1862(a)(1)(A) of the Social Security Act, and therefore, we are removing the past national non-coverage of cardiac output Doppler monitoring.

Now watch this go.

My View...Deltex are the most promising share in my portfolio at present.
What has surprised me is that I increased my holdings last Friday and the sp is up. Of late any share I increase my holdings in gives it the temporary kiss of death.
Deltex looks to be a share for all at present, medium/long term profit and a traders day share. I think the sales over the last few days will be down to the short term profit takers.

If contracts start an increase flow, there will be little to hold this share from reaching the 100p mark. Perhaps this time next year that will look a good value sp.
Not usually one to forecast share prices, but I feel very bullish re Deltex.

Things are hotting nicely.

Out today the publication of the final decision memorandum by the US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) confirming that coverage will be implemented on a national basis for reimbursement of the use of oesophageal Doppler monitoring to guide fluid therapy in ventilated patients in intensive care and for all patients undergoing surgery requiring fluid management.

Once the insurance is put in place then reimbursement to the physician for the
time and skill required to manage patients using ODM would be a matter of course. At shareclubuk.co.uk we view todays news as being most positive, establishing ODM as a standard of care in the USA. Opening up the worlds number one market for the company. Any comments please let the club know?

Looking at L2 the MM's are fighting to buy your shares, and not too keen to sell.
It appears to be working, with sales now catching up with Buys the PI,s are being tempted with a quick profit.
The institutions MUST be watching this share closely.
Would love to be able to see any buy orders in the background not showing on the order book.
(Thats probably jinxed it)

Excellent sp performance over the last week or so, the message is getting through at last, 50%+ profit atm, but imo fwiw, we are only just scratching the surface and this could be an exciting and much more profitable ride.

Nice update re Reimbursement in the USA.
Things can now surely only go one way. UP.

Sp up and down like a yoyo at present. I put it down to profit taking.
For a change I increased my holding in a share at the perfect time.
Up over 20% in 2 weeks. No intention of selling yet.

greekman-----bound to get some profit taking but imo there is much more upside to come, and rather than try to be too clever by selling and re-buying I will sit on them and ride out the down days, I firmly believe that this is one for the future.

Not seen this for a while.
All 7 Market Makers are showing same price as each other on the offer and ask.
Are they expecting something and just sitting on their hands waiting, not knowing which way to jump. Also the spread is a bit wider than usual, another sign of them not being sure which way it's heading.
Could always be a coincidence, but strange all the same.

Positive comment in shares today.

RNS...Instiution selling.

It's never good when an institution sells.
They probably got tired of waiting for the CardioQ contracts to come flooding in.
Their clients were perhaps hoping to see profits increase faster.
Me, still being patient.
