Andy,
Not going myself, a 1000 mile round trip is a bit much for me just for that. One of the problems of living so far from London. I hope your going to take some notes now! ;-) I'm going to get in touch with the company early next week and suggest that they put the presentation up on the website if possible so we can all see it. I hope they do a good presentation, especially being up first. I was in PCI last year when they did the oilbarrel conference, they got a lot of good publicity after it. Of course, a dry hole in Tunisia didnt really help them come the end of the year!

Gav,
1000 miles, are you in the Aberdeen area?
Yes I will be taking notes, and as you say, the extra publicity should help awareness and the SP. Oilbarrel only meets a few times a year, and I know quite a few private investors that are attending instead of Minesite, as they are occurring at the same time!
Hopefully we won't be finding any "dusters" though!
I have now posted the PDF link I missed in the post above, showing all the companies presenting.

Andy,
Totally agree re the dusters! But there was a lot of hype in PCI. Didnt know that Minesite were doing something on the same day, but ive only got one little miner so I dont follow the sector as well as the oils. Im just down the road from Aberdeen here in Dundee, hence my name. I note that GKP are presenting as well, another one Ive got my eye on so it would have been a good presentation to get to. Not really too interested in the others that are there. I look foward to reading your write up on the SEY presentation, thats if you do one that is.

Gav,
Yes I certainly will, but possibly not until Wednesday, depending when I arrive back home.
I remember now, we recently spoke about the ex Bournemouth player Lovell, who plays for you.

There we go with that 1/2p tick up.
Oil is being quoted at $60 per barrel.
I have taken profit from Hardman, probably too early, better early than late imo.
SIA is begining to fly......
Oil Barrel conference tomorrow, Sterling are first on.

AFX - OPEC to hold talks on 500,000 bpd production rise if prices stay high.
That seems to have had a little effect on SP's, but long term it wont make any difference imo.
Nice to see you all here and bubbling along with it all today.

Ticking up nicely today - will we make it through the 200dma? Will we make it through the 17p resistance?

Last time I took part in the father's race at my daughter's school, I fell and landed on my arm, taking about 3 months for all the muscles around my shoulder socket to stop hurting like hell. The other guy was not so lucky - he slipped too and broke his collar bone! Father's race was cancelled from that moment on on safety grounds.
I will wait for the 17p resistance to be decisively broken to call "action".

I'll do that too.

Looking better but desperately needs a decent flow of news to reinforce positive investment feelings
I am getting quite attached to SEY which is not a good thing for me to do It breaks all my rules.

Decent article here, worth a read.
"With a nod from OPEC, oil prices have climbed nearly 6% in the last three days and are widely expected to top $60 a barrel.
The insistence of many OPEC members that they are unable to prevent prices rising because of such refinery capacity shortages is likely to be taken as a further bullish signal by the market," Barclays Capital analysts wrote in a note Wednesday. "We expect $60 for crude to be breached in pretty short order."

Enjoy the Oilbarrel conference tomorrow Andy, look forward to reading your write up. I emailed the company tonight to ask if they would put it on the website.
