Horn Petroleum Shabeel North Drilling Update

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 18, 2012) - Horn Petroleum Corporation ("Horn Petroleum" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:HRN) reports that the Shabeel North well is currently at a depth of 1967meters and has penetrated a 50 meter gross section of upper Jesomma sands with oil shows. An open hole drill stem test is currently underway to determine if this zone is oil or water bearing.

Regardless of the result of this test, the well will continue to drill to the base of the Jesomma sands to evaluate any additional lower Jesomma potential pay zones.

Hi 3m, Perhaps they were suspended pre annoucement. Trading now.

Bit of a 50/50 rns. They would perhaps of done better testing and announcing oil or water in 24/48 hrs.

I hope that the profit takers have been at work prior to sample(s) confirming an oil find = in 24/48 hour!

I think the 24/48 hr news will be the sp mover . Then it must be commercial.
Perhaps the word water was used to keep a cap on the sp's until the Puntland government is in order. Which it has for Horn. Horns sp has stood up not to bad, without news of the drill from KH until today. Ranges and RMP have not stood up so well. So perhaps Ranges Directors and red emperors wanted the news released to stop the sp rot. Perhaps they know what they have. Delays can be played anytime on just
to stop the sp racing . If oil is found and all camps including the somali government are ready to announce it, the world will soon know.

hmm........ why mention water, something does not smell right, I hope I am wrong but I would have expected Horn to remain positive

mind you based on RRL estimates of target date, we should double their estimate, so the news wil be given in 48-96 hours LOL !

Cannot work range out, seem intent on destroying the sp. Why put WATER in the rns
before testing in only a couple of days.

Horn would of tanked if their investors were concerned of water, seems to be holding well.

Horn and Africa oil still have a lot of warrants to be exercised. The Horn sp was driven down a month or so ago with the badly worded rns. Perhaps they have something to do with this latest rns. Who knows.
