Yes TA your right about there been 3000 stocks and you get posters going on certain threads just to undermine other posters.As to the UCB and the New Link presentation i'm going to have to make some time to read through all the above info, but thanks for going to the trouble to post.....some of it looks quite technical and new to me so i'l have to do some swotting up.........

Perhaps you could start with TopANAL's EOG financial predictions, which conveniently omit mention of corporation tax on any profits?

I imagine EOG are pretty fed up with receiving emails from such a 'great researcher' suggesting how they (the experts?) should be running their business. If not fed up, I guess it gives them a good laugh.

FWIW I don't have a problem per se with EOG, but one, I don't particularly like the fundies at the moment and rampant rampers tend to put me off. You should ask yourself why topANAL, protosser etc, feel the need to post on at least 4 financial BBs non-stop using multipe alises. The answer isn't to share their wealth (lol) of knowledge if you're struggling with the question.

TopANAL seems to think by continuing to insult (oh, the irony!) I or others will stay clear of this thread, sorry (not) I'll post where and when I want. I'd like to ask posters like cynic, ptholden, halifax et al, what shares they invest in and their investment strategy, because they seem to accuse other investors of investing in "tiddly little shares" just to undermine others choices.. so come on guys lets see what sectors your interested in and some names so we can see how astute you are..!!!!!!!!!!!

GB - i'm a simple guy so my simple strategy is to make money .... as for my portfolio, i usually hold 20/24 stocks which includes say 3/4 twiddly companies such as BAO, BLNX, and for my sins PXS

EOG is not as big a load of rubbish as the likes of EME and GOO, but imo, it's in a similar league - say like Beazer League, or should that be Beano League

Not at all, simply a statement of fact, EOG is a tiddler. Actually most of the threads on this board seem to be devoted to similar and smaller stocks. Rationale being of course, that significant profits can be made.......or usually lost. I've been posting on this board for many years, whilst you (GB) and the best researcher known to man (TopANAL) have been here a matter of months (at least in your present logon incarnation). During my time I have witnessed many posters, quivering in anticipation over how a certain stock will pay off their mortgage only to see that same profit disappear and then turn into a loss. You claim to have bought BLNX and KMR at low prices, I don't recall seeing you posting on those threads at low prices (I might be wrong) so I'll treat that claim with the suspicion it deserves. Ultimately, it's all about banking profits (something you failed to do with AST I see).

As far as my own investments are concerned, I chose companys which appear to have at least reasonable management, already proven resoucres / reserves (if in the oil/gas sector) are profitable (or have expectations of being so in the near future) the fundamentals stack up and finally, the chart supports an increase in the SP. I don't invest in start up companys like EOG, because the majority (although some have their moment in the limelight) fade away. I prefer to wait for some evidence of success and then buy into the trend.

Recent examples: AFR, AUL, XEL, RKH, RRL, RGM, CCT.

I will also jump on momentum plays, for instance FTO, CEY, AVN.
