NASA about to launch, "cloud computing stock" that is.. (NASA)

Still Waiting - 28 Sep 2009 20:19

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=NASA&S

With strong investor demand for this bombed out tech stock it's managed to raise 900K after only needing 70K, this puts money worries behind it.

This should finance the rapid roll out and uptake expected for cloud computing.

Who do you see as their cloud computing competitors, Treblewide?

Interesting company. Growth area. Bit concerned about the differentiators between this company and the other cloud computing companies.

Treblewide - 01 Dec 2010 10:46 - 51 of 57

there are a few...salesforce.com are big into platform as a service but only focus on CRM, service desk etc...actually Nasstar should try and sell their montly via the app exchange on salesforce.com.....large access to a huge user base already bought into cloud computing

micorsoft also offer a monthly SAAS service but only for MSoft tools....not for the remit of apps Nasstar offer

Citrix could be viewed as a competitor but that is wrong as you still need all of the underpinning IT infrastrcutre so Citrix is merely an extra cost.

If these guys get it right they could be huge...my main fear is lack of cash to market it properly.

look at the growth in salesforce.com...that shows what can happen when cloud vendors get it right

this will come down to enough cash to get the message out to the mass market and the correct quality of people at the helm....is the NASA CEO of the claibre of Marc Benihoff...i doubt it but he might just be good enough

in terms of value add it is simple...no need for an IT departmer...access your office suite...your CRM tools, your accoutning package etc etc all from a browser via an i-phone or tablet..........now that saves a fortune

large corporates still gonna need bespoke apps...but a lots of companies dont

ValueMax - 01 Dec 2010 11:18 - 52 of 57

Good to see they are focussed on generating IP. What have they patented so far?

Treblewide - 01 Dec 2010 11:47 - 53 of 57

no idea...dont think it can be patented really...not an expert in the all that carry on

Treblewide - 05 Jan 2011 23:13 - 54 of 57

ticking nicely...will hopefully breakout and break above 16p tomorrow

Treblewide - 11 Jan 2011 13:00 - 55 of 57
