From earlier this year.
"The fund raise significantly strengthens Symphony's balance sheet and will
allow us to maintain the quantum growth we have enjoyed over the past few
months. We are now receiving significant interest from a variety of sectors in
our degradable solution to the problems associated with plastic waste and,
following this strengthening of our resources, we are in a much stronger
position to meet the considerable demand for our products."
This last statement shows that corporations are looking seriously at Symphonys products. Yesterdays announcement shows a real coup for the company, as they have walked away from a potential exclusivity contract with no penalties!. Rarely seen IMO.
Bio-degradeable products are appearing everywhere, especially in the consumer disposal market, and Symphony look to be taking a large chunk of this with their own brands.
I believe strongly in the management of the company. I see they have the technical ability and also the qualities required to deal with the financial markets. Too often we see an excellent company with strong technical management, only to see them fail as they have no idea how to deal with the stock market.
That is why I am nominating Symphony plastics as my "tip of the week". If you get in early enough, I believe you could see a potential treble bagger by the end of July.
I would welcome your comments on the above analysis.

Happy day:
Symphony Plastic Technologies, the degradable plastics company,
today reports that the formal handing down of the Judgment by the Court of
Appeal has taken place following the Appeal brought by EPI Environmental
Products Inc ('EPI') against the Judgment of the High Court of 21st December
2004 in favour of Symphony.
In addition to documenting the reasons for its decision (announced on 19th
December 2005) to dismiss the Appeal, the Court also considered the question of
costs. Symphony has been awarded its full costs for the Appeal which are to be
assessed against EPI on an indemnity basis. In addition, an interim award to
Symphony of 600,000 was ordered for immediate settlement from funds previously
lodged by EPI with the Court as security for Symphony's costs.
Michael Laurier, Chief Executive Officer of Symphony, said:
'The dismissal of all aspects of EPI's Appeal in December has now been clearly
reflected in the Court's decision on the award of costs to Symphony. Now that
the legal process on the central issues is largely completed we are very pleased
to be able to re-focus our attention on the opportunities facing us'.

thanks for clarifying that....
always thought you were a bit of a goer.
lets hear some news on the contract side then we can really go from the corrected original position ( once (if) all costs are awarded in full ) upwards.

well well this might be nothing but then again it might be something big
just trawling through yahoo news and saw that the chinese goverment has decided to put enviroment to the front of its industrial policy
they say they have neglected the enviroment for economic reasons so they are going to start enforcing laws that have in the past been ignored
they say that they will be looking at water, air ans soil pollution as a main focus
how does this effect us i hear you say
did we not just sign an agreement with an indian company
might be a very good idea to start talks with the chinese
the market for bio degradables there looks like its just about to explode
just an opinion mind
