Gausie.it is amazing how you have just made a covering trade minutes after I point out another one of your losersall I ever see from you is a wrong guessbut go ahead tell defunct traders how well you are doingthey might believe you which makes you guilty of misleading people.investors wont be sucked in!

Gausie - 08 Dec 2008 09:40 - 465 of 974

Tabby - that's not covering, it's adding - or increasing. I'll cover part of it in due course below 220, maybe below 210. And it was at the same price as I sold on Thursday. And is already well in profit.

My target price for the whole position is the low 200's - stop loss is 240's. Each new tranche that I sell (ie 'add') and part cover (ie 'reduce') within that channel increases the total position size, banks some profit, and edges the weighted entry price a little closer to 240. It's called 'building a position'. Educate yourself and look it up.

You don't get this trading lark, do you?

Big Al - 08 Dec 2008 09:50 - 466 of 974

He doesn't get the investing lark either.

tabasco - 08 Dec 2008 09:59 - 467 of 974

Gausie.when you say trading.what in fact you mean is bullshitting.same meaning to most traders!.and like an Aberdeen Angus.you are blessed with more than your fare share of bulls shit!.. or Bear shit depending on whom you are trying mislead. Why dont you stick to the traders thread where you will feel at home.

Gausie - 08 Dec 2008 10:29 - 468 of 974

Tabby - I'm going to pick up on Al's comment.

You're hostile towards me and your so called 'crazy gang' because you believe us to be hostile towards MDX and towards you having taken a long position in them.

I don't think you understand the dynamics here.

Nobody is in the least bit critical of you for having opened your position in MDX. You did the research, you liked what you saw, you bought. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Criticism is justly levelled for what happened afterwards. The share price just fell and fell. Other more sensible MDX investors shrugged their shoulders and said 'fair enough - I got it wrong' and sold.

The suicidal investors (the ones you call 'strong holders') are those who are arrogant enough to think they 'never get it wrong'. Every time you state that you're always right (recently I note you've changed the phraseology to 'almost always right'), you reaffirm your membership of the financial suicide club.

It is these suicidal investors who are justly subject to criticism. Buying the initial stake arguably had merits. Holding on after the market had proven the buy wrong was inescabably stupid. Continuing to hold in the belief that you're right and the market continues to be wrong is a ruinous mix of crass stupidity and egotistic arrogance.

So - to summarise - You post in the way that you do as a reaction to your perception that people criticise you for buying MDX. There is, in fact, no criticism for having opened your initial position. But you deserve everything you get for having held on to it.

G xx
