I use to tell my kids, when they were angry about another person was, "If they don't try to take food of your plate, or money out of your pockets, or physically attack you, what they say about you is of little importance".

The important thing is what you think of yourself.

goldfinger - 07 Nov 2014 13:40 - 460 of 832

And my father used to tell me to never ever tolerate bullies, he used to say always get the first one in and make sure it puts them down.

cynic - 07 Nov 2014 13:41 - 461 of 832

or even more succinctly, "don't sweat the small things" but i'm afraid GF doesn't seem to have learnt that .... hey ho!

goldfinger - 07 Nov 2014 13:47 - 464 of 832

You certainly arent going to get any protection from admin, moderators dont exist here anymore.

doodlebug4 - 07 Nov 2014 14:04 - 465 of 832

Cynic, as you partly seem to be missing the point on this thread I will take a minute to explain how I feel.
When I buy a share it is usually the result of a lot of research – looking at fundamentals, balance sheets, reading trading statements, analysing charts, reading other comments on various other bulletin boards, reading newspaper articles etc.etc. It is not done merely on a silly whim or spur of the moment and although investing in shares is a hobby for me I take it seriously and try to work hard at it as I invest quite a lot of money. So you will perhaps understand if I get cheesed off when some posters on this thread seem to treat this as a silly game.

Goldfinger has posted around 100 negative posts on this thread since about the second week in October after he had thrown a hissy fit on another thread. You have put in your tuppenceworth on the odd occasion when you have thought fit to either reprimand Goldfinger or myself, or Chris Carson – or have thought it appropriate, in your judgement to defend Goldfinger’s appalling behaviour. Fred has also chipped in with the occasional silly comment.

Not to put too fine a point on it and since my previous polite request – which goldfinger deemed as pompous – has been ignored, I would ask you three, goldfinger, cynic and Fred to FCUK off, and that comment also applies to sinutab aka goldfinger.

I'm now going to take skinny's good advice and go and chill out by watching the golf on Sky Sports.

Chris Carson - 07 Nov 2014 14:11 - 466 of 832

Amen!

cynic - 07 Nov 2014 14:14 - 467 of 832

DD4 - you're initial comment was fair enough and i would totally agree that GF is (also) acting like a total idiot, and have told him as much, both on here and privately

however, if one feels that strongly about someone, it is a matter of moments to squelch them

sticky - i did get an e- from you this morning and replied accordingly ..... i will always go to the aid of someone who is being physically attacked - i wonder how brave i'ld be if someone had a knife, broken bottle or similar - but verbals are barely worth getting that worked up about for long

Balerboy - 07 Nov 2014 14:20 - 468 of 832

There are times when threads become very boring............

cynic - 07 Nov 2014 14:24 - 469 of 832

agreed

goldfinger - 07 Nov 2014 14:30 - 470 of 832

Cynic you yourself said this morning that Doodlebug and Carson would be better suited posting on advfn.........have you gone back on your word?, YES or NO will do.

Lets not forget the trouble which has hit this board started with one common denominator ie, that of doodlebug posting here on a more frequent basis in the last 2 months. (he used to spend most of his time on advfn)

In that time he has offended you, Fred and myself plus the silent ones who looked into the chart thread. I say looked because he and Carson after 12 constructive years trashed it between themselves aided by aldwick.

Its as simple as that.

Before he started posting here everything was quiet and calm.

Can you deny that????????????????

cynic - 07 Nov 2014 14:39 - 471 of 832

oh lordy!
enough enough already!

goldfinger - 07 Nov 2014 17:07 - 472 of 832

Chris Carson - 07 Nov 2014 17:49 - 474 of 832

goldfinger - 07 Nov 2014 17:55 - 475 of 832

Christine cant see what you are saying but if you are long and it appeared you were, you should know.

I do.

Does Doodlebug??????I bet he doesnt, and Ill be watching advfn to see if he sneeks a question out.

doodlebug4 - 07 Nov 2014 17:58 - 476 of 832

Actually I posted a couple of comments on the moderated FLYB thread today - you know, the one that you cannot post on because you have been thrown off.

Chris Carson - 07 Nov 2014 18:00 - 477 of 832

Course you do gf, Mr 90% respect LOLLOLLOL!!!!!

goldfinger - 07 Nov 2014 18:14 - 478 of 832

90% on margin Chris.......DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT????????????????????

id google it if I were you. Do you understand what margin means on an open ended CFD.

CFD.......Contract For Difference chris.

Open ended means not covered in the market.

Not covered means naked ie like you and the Boys.
