All this progress with the sp seems to be the result of small investor activity. The chart does point to a possible breakout,Hustler.
Only problem for me continuing to hold rather than take profits is the fear that some terrorism activity could wipe out the recent resilience we have seen in the market.
Any idea of the date for results?
LOL..ETHEL

HUSTLER - 21 Jul 2005 12:03 - 47 of 78

Last years results were posted on 13 Sept Ethel.
assume this year will be around same time.
All the best
HUSTLER

ethel - 21 Jul 2005 13:07 - 48 of 78

Thanks v.much,Hustler.
Sp just peaked at 1.50 and promptly fell off.Now sells well outdoing buys...is it downhill till Sept I wonder?
LOL .Ethel

ethel - 21 Jul 2005 17:59 - 49 of 78

Well, missed selling at 1.50 because the neighbours popped in.Missed 7p by the time I sold. So,half a decent profit lost for a cup of tea.
Having been very staid for so long,AVG suddenly became frighteningly volatile.A sudden self-off by three small investors sent the sp down incredibly quickly.Knowing the chart,I should have been aware that in the context of the last two years,PRV's chart has become very erratic and zig-zaggy.The projections for this company show a massive increase in earnings so I suppose that we are seeing the birth of a completely different chart for AVG.
Can't wait to see what the results will be.
LOL to all those who braved the "tree shake",if that's what it was.Interesting to see how vulnerable the sp was to the terrible news. There was also profit taking for those who have been in from the beginning.(is it spelt with three or two n's?)
Ethel

capa - 21 Jul 2005 20:21 - 50 of 78

Three n's Ethel, well done for banking a profit. May see you back sometime ?

I am in the fortunate position of buying in the 70p's and adding on the way up at an average price of about 1. In for the long haul as I think this is a company that will deliver a great return over time. To be honest I am tempted to buy some more at under 1.50.

Just you and me left Hustler

Best of luck Ethel

HUSTLER - 21 Jul 2005 20:43 - 51 of 78

I feel the same way Capa
owes me ave 1.07 a share
but i am fully invested right now.
Happy to hold however
best of luck
HUSTLER

capa - 01 Aug 2005 15:53 - 52 of 78

Looks like its going to finish above 1.50 this time.

Looking very good on the run up to results

capa

HUSTLER - 01 Aug 2005 18:12 - 53 of 78

Hi capa
ticking up nicely
good to see finish above 1.50 barrier 1.53 at close.
Could this be the start of the next surge forward,
results in around 6 weeks and we are going in the
right direction, maybe someone knows somthing we
don't and are already making thier move. Lets hope so
after all the sp is still very cheap, even more so if
results are better than forecast.
All the best
HUSTLER

capa - 02 Aug 2005 13:04 - 54 of 78

If only Ethel had held on for a few more days, she would have got her target 1.55.

Looking good for at least 10% more in run up to results , and then all bets are off.

capa

capa - 08 Aug 2005 11:04 - 55 of 78

Results 7th September, lets see how well they are doing.

capa

capa - 08 Aug 2005 11:50 - 56 of 78

Get strapped in Hustler, we're on our way

capa

HUSTLER - 08 Aug 2005 13:19 - 57 of 78

Hi capa
Lest hope it dosen't run out
of puff this time, a fast sprint
towards 2.00 would be nice and certainly
not out of the question before results.
Buckled up and ready for the ride.
all the best
HUSTLER.

ethel - 08 Aug 2005 13:24 - 58 of 78

BOO....HOO...woe is me.!!!
This has re-affirmed that I must not be so impatient to sell as soon as I am in profit, ignoring my own target price.
Really could have done with the extra dosh, double the profit I already made.Wish I was with you in this, quite an exciting time on a good, clean, calm thread!!!!May it stay so.
LOL...Ethel

HUSTLER - 08 Aug 2005 13:42 - 59 of 78

Thanks Ethel
Wish you were still on board,
but i feel it is still not to late to
get back in. The spread is very tight
at 1.22% at present which indicates the mm's
are expecting some volume prior to results.
Come 7th sept if news is good as the
forecasts sugest this one should deserve rerating much
higher.
All the best
HUSTLER

ethel - 08 Aug 2005 14:00 - 60 of 78

Never buy when a share is at a high.Have to say that momentum and money flow are looking positive even on low volume for the past weeks.Charts look good.
I won't risk it as I have to pay my broker commission, which is quite high. Thanks and see you again.

g64946 - 05 Sep 2005 11:42 - 61 of 78

This one continues to do nicely...is it results this week - Finals Wednesday 7th?

capa - 05 Sep 2005 12:18 - 62 of 78

Yes, results on Wednesday.

capa

capa - 07 Sep 2005 16:28 - 63 of 78

Pleasing results today, not as high eps as I thought but more than made up for by confident statement and dividend announcement.

On a future multiple of less than 10 which still makes AVG great value imo.

Looks like it may end the day up, which is unusual come results day !!

g64946 - 27 Feb 2006 10:38 - 64 of 78

Sounds good...

'Avingtrans (LSE: AVG.L - news) eked out gains today after the engineering technology firm's subsidiary, C&H Precision Finishers Ltd, signed a three year agreement for the supply of goods and work with Rolls Royce '

Anyone views?

barwoni - 13 Jul 2006 14:26 - 65 of 78

AVG looking very good value at the moment must be on a PE of about 7..
