Your wish is my command!
*********************************************
Headaches coming to an* Endo for Vernalis

Analysts are concerned that sales of Vernalis' migraine drug, Frovatriptan, have declined under new US marketing partner Endo.

Endo admitted this week* that fourth-quarter sales fell to $6.4m from $10m last year due to wholesaler destocking. However, the company says that until recently there has been *little active promotion but, with a new marketing campaign, prescriptions should pick up. Vernalis bought back the rights for Frovatriptan last year from Elan, relicensing it to Endo.

The sales decline is a** concern but approval of Frovatriptan for menstrually associated migraine could provide a boost. Fairly priced.

Cheers Fred - provides me with some extra drinking time.

1704 - 25 Feb 2005 15:11 - 466 of 1451

Fred-Thanks for that much appreciated.

pachandl - 25 Feb 2005 20:02 - 467 of 1451

Penny Share Prophet renews its "speculative buy" rating for OXB. Nothing much added. Does not expect another bid (assumed it was Vernalis). Repeats expected news from Trovax trials, Prosavin entering trials, and confidence that "one big deal" will be pulled off this year.

llewellyn - 25 Feb 2005 22:19 - 468 of 1451

thats all they need????????? lets hope they get there bid?

pachandl - 26 Feb 2005 12:21 - 469 of 1451

FROM TODAYS GUARDIAN

Traders said Oxford Biomedica, which called off merger talks earlier this month, will be one to watch next week. They believe the biotech company, spun out of Oxford University 10 years ago, is poised to make a positive announcement about its most advanced product, TroVax, which is in phase two trials. The stock closed unchanged at 20.75p.

MIDAS7576 - 26 Feb 2005 22:23 - 470 of 1451

Chaps

I feel this is going to be a fantastic week for all OXB holders. Going to get a few more first thing Monday morning. If the Trovax news is positive then there will be no holding her back.

27p plus..........imho

1704 - 28 Feb 2005 10:32 - 471 of 1451

Midas7576-Agree with your recent post 100%. Hoping
to hear some postive news over the next 10 trading
days and to see the sp motoring upwards past 29p.

1704 - 28 Feb 2005 11:55 - 472 of 1451

Pachandl- Forgot to thank you for sharing the information
found in the 'Penny Share Prophet' and 'The Guardian'
newspaper. I'm expecting some more positive articles
about OXB in the Financial Press over the next 2 weeks
and some large investors to start piling into the stock.

pachandl - 28 Feb 2005 15:28 - 473 of 1451

1704 - all part of the service! Will keep my eyes peeled for anything else. Stay lucky.

apple - 28 Feb 2005 21:55 - 474 of 1451

Thanks for the info, things are looking good.

1704 - 01 Mar 2005 10:44 - 475 of 1451

Apple-Things are certainly looking good at the moment.

''Extra, Extra Read All About 'Share Price of OXB is going
to soar''

Independent Newspaper (Market Report: 1/03/05)by Michael Jikov

http://news.independent.co.uk

'OXB, 1p higher to 21.75p, was once again a talking
point among City gossips. Some suggested that the
biotech will before the end of the week unveil an
exciting licensing deal for one of its drugs,
possibly for its Trovax product. But others reckon
a fresh bid approach could soon be on the cards for OXB.
In January, shares in the group soared after it
admitted having recieved a takeover offer. At the time it
was widely rumoured that the offer had come from fellow
UK biotech Vernalis'.

1704 - 01 Mar 2005 10:54 - 476 of 1451

Apple-Well done for calling the market correct last week
and getting in again at sub 20p.

MIDAS-Also seems to have called the market correctly with
a post he made a couple of weeks ago.

I just hope the results live up to the hype and we are
all celebrating (Fred and Pachandl included)in a few
days time.
Robstuff-Are you still around? Some comments from you
and other users of the BB would welcome
Queenie,Ethel,llwelyn,Oakapples etc)

All the Best

RNS stating that Man Financial Ltd have 6.03% of shares.

All sounds better and better.

Cheers, Madison

1704 - 01 Mar 2005 12:48 - 478 of 1451

Madison-Thanks for your post.

Good news to hear that Man Financial
Ltd have increased their holdings. I have
been forecasting for the last few days that
I expect to see more large 'buys' coming
in from large institutions and private investors
over the next couple of weeks. I Expect to see
more announcements. My sp target of 35p by
the middle of March 05 may yet be achieved.

Go on OXB my son.

apple - 01 Mar 2005 13:16 - 479 of 1451

1704,

:-)
As for calling the market correct last week.

This is my favourite share because if you look back through this thread I nearly always seem to get this one right.

I can't claim that it is skill though because I don't seem to be calling it right quite so much on other shares.

I always keep a core holding on OXB though just in case I'm wrong when I see a peak.

I hope that they don't get taken over because then I won't be able to have anywhere near as much fun or profits as I do with this one.

In the long term, without a takeover, I see this being worth much more than we are likely to get from selling out to a bidder in the short term.

This is not just a 1 product company.

Trovax is likely to transform the share price but that is just the 1st of their portfolio of drugs & techniques.

pachandl - 01 Mar 2005 13:25 - 480 of 1451

Agreed Apple but if any Trovax update is luke-warm then the sp will plummet by 50%

1704 - 01 Mar 2005 14:00 - 481 of 1451

Apple-I have only invested in the company over the last
couple of months but already I can see the large growth
potential of this stock.

I'm still gutted about jumping back in at 22.75p and
22.11p instead of sub 20p levels. The sp of OXB will
definetly rocket upwards this year and I'm hoping I
do not have to wait too long.

All the Best

apple - 01 Mar 2005 16:01 - 482 of 1451

pachandl

That is why I'll be keeping my eye on the newsflow & will sell all but my core holding again if it is luke warm & then I'll be looking for a buying level again.

1704 - 01 Mar 2005 16:31 - 483 of 1451

I think it is sensible to have stop-loss levels any time
you invest in stocks which I used previously before buying
back into OXB at lower levels.

All the indications are that the clinical results are going
to be good and that there maybe news of a liscencing deal
or takeover approach imminient.

Fund Managers have direct access to Board Members of companies
that they invest in. Therefore, it is encouraging for me to see
Man Financial Ltd increasing its holdings today ahead of results.
Was it speculation or information which made them decide to
add to their holdings?
