Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

RKH represents at a guess 18% of the porfolio...so the risk is spread around but still the same....I would not be a happy bunny on a bad result but the big picture out in the south atlantic is getting bigger day by day...

Lost a load in Desire even more in XEL got burnt bad bad.........,I should of cashed in at New Year trying to catch up.

I also lost in DES but made some before on the share so no perhaps all square overall on that one.....made some on XEL but still in with what's left at a loss...just has to come back as we get closer to production for that one....Rockhopper could surge to 4 on a very good result over a period of a few days....but who knows....with oil there and the potential surrounding the stock : good one to be in....but not to have 100% of a portfolio just in this.....you have to spread the risk a bit....

I get the feeling that RKH and DES will become one company.....sooner or later...

Loss on DES (holding), Break even on FOGL(sold) and enjoying RKH as it starts to acheive its potential (holding). Also content with the steadiness of FKL which can only benefit from the additional industry oil brings to the FI.

By this time next year there could and should be several rigs drilling away down there, so plenty of action to come...

or like xel, who we all thought was fool proof and going to the top by xmas....instead is going to hang around 170 when it has been 400p.,.

Looks like Desire will go down from now and the smart money will move back in to RKH could be any time an RNS depending on complication,there weather has been on there side.

good to see sp heading north for a change, but expect some fairly stern resistance at say 300 unless there is genuine good news beforehand

mid-winter here and today is cloudy but of course still quite warm ..... hotel is typical shit conference type and well out of the centre - very dull, but shall prob go sightseeing today as conference doesn't start until tomorrow

gildph i think it maybe a few days away the longer it takes the better in my eyes,this was never going to be a quick flow test they want to tick all the boxes this time.

Its a very tight ship with RKH always has been RNS will come when its ready.
