This post is relevant to all stocks, so posted here as I had taken the stockwatch figures, that are faulty yet again (which I should have noticed but did not) which lead me to post re spreads, sp again. Did not want to just delete my post by editing out as I wanted to point out how the MoneyAm system that is now becoming wrong almost as many times at it is right can be totally misleading.

Aware we already know about this link between Waste2Tricity and AFC, but this is a good recent write up.

London firm plans cutting edge gasification plant

A London-based energy company has outlined plans to use "cutting edge" fuel cell technology to help turn waste into electricity.

Also as we know, everything is down to the deal between AFC and Akzo.

The only part of the results that are 100% factual is the independent assessment of the fuel cell system that was commissioned from the government-backed Centre for Process Innovation (CPI).
The assessment looks very positive. The main hurdle is, will the cash run out before the finish line is reached.
I bought this share as a blue sky or bust, which it still is.
Still a long shot, but I am sticking with it for a bit longer.

As no one has posted since the new release, there can't be many left in AFC on here.

Update on AkzoNobel
project and Results of AGM

Very good news although I expect some profit taking till the results of the Tests in Situ.
I would think after the shambles a few months ago AFC would want to make sure everything was working as proficiently s possible before shipment, as failure at this stage might just finish the AFC/Akzo link up.
If these test do perform, I would expect the sp to go up like a rocket, as no doubt other companies will be far easier to get on board once/if all turns out A1.
I bought at 8.5p so some way to go yet for a no loss play, but am increasingly confident.

Have not seen any entries on the book by 0730 hrs before. Could be a interesting day.

At 0825 today for about 2 minutes the MM's were so busy trying to out do each other, there was NO SPREAD.
Appreciate this often occurs in companies were millions of share are traded almost every hour as a normal occurrence, but AFC, never. Sometimes it never moves all day.
Will not try to put a price on this when/if the final tests in situ are completed and show a 100% positive result but there is a chance of this share being swept away in a flood of euphoria.
Could be a very interesting few days, week and months.

Certainly hope your right, still got my few and crossing fingers.

Same here except I have everything crossed.
Spread now 15%. Nice to see the mm's playing the game.
They will probably make more money out of AFC over today and yesterday than they have for weeks.
Having bought this as a blue sky or bust gamble, I am prepared to wait for it to reach dizzying heights before I start cashing in.

Looks fairly generous, but it does give those members mentioned a huge incentive to push ahead with production/innovations.
Lets just hope the sentence comment...... many will not receive pay increases, means what is says.
Without a pay increase, they will be far more likely to concentrate on the sp, just like the shareholders.
It does look like confidence in their own company is strong.
Bonuses for success, no problem.

Another puzzle. All sells today and yet the bid increased from 2.50p to 2.75p.

Does look like they have not come across any problems (or if they have they have overcome them) during the field trials.

Energy saving companies. Are they the new Dot-com industry.

With the ever increasing news items regarding the push toward clean fuel, coupled with the fact that oil will as we know eventually run out it appears to me that companies concentrating on ways to produce these new, cleaner/greener fuels are similar in many ways to those who first ventured into the IT business.
Demand into newer fuels will lead many companies along the same path as those that eventually lead to the Dot-com bubble of the late 1990's.

Most of these IT companies were as we know eventually overpriced, to their fundamentals and got to these high inflated prices on what I called a dream ticket.
But as we also know, although many fell to the wayside loosing many investors millions of pounds, some made investors very rich.

I feel that lessons have been learnt from the Dot-com bubble, and although some new fuel companies will go to the wall, the effect of totally unjustified sky high share prices will not hit 'so many'.

If we look at where IT is today (can we live without it), well yes we probably could survive, just, but it is generally accepted that if alternatives to the so called staple fuels of the past, coal, oil are not produced in sufficient quantities the world will very quickly need to take a huge backward step.

AFC appear to be leaders in their own field due their system, albeit as a yet minor player, and as yet they are still a very small almost start up company with only a small amount of proven credibility. But who knows, when the new cleaner fuel bubble busts and it will, AFC could be one of those that don't just survive but become very profitable for all.

Companies such as AFC are pioneers in the industry which is still very young, and with such companies the time to take a punt is now. Still a sky high or bust share, but now I feel we can see more sky than bust.

Now where did I put my old Microsoft share certificates I bought on float.

I appreciate we are already aware of the connection between AFC, Waste2Tricity and Thornton New Energy, but it is a good write up, mentioning, 'Such is the potential of the scheme that despite its use of coal, usually a guarantee of the environmentalists' ire, it has won the approval of Friends of the Earth"

So now we have the green brigade on board, it should help.
