Iberdrola are at 15% now!

"bought this crap about 5 years ago......another 2p and i'll be breaking even.

not sure i'll be investing in diddly silly irish companies in future "

Presumably some of your larger holdings that also plummeted from last year weren't 'diddly silly irish companies'?

hermana - 26 Aug 2009 11:15 - 492 of 1234

Foit, this is registered in Ireland but not really an Irish co. at all anymore.

HARRYCAT - 26 Aug 2009 11:47 - 493 of 1234

I know that BP walked away, h, but the point I was making was the PCI sp rose to 23p on speculation that a major was going to join the fray. Nothing had been drilled or extracted, but the hope was that as BP had ben successful on the adjoining plot, PCI had a good chance of succeeding.
Having exited from GKP far too early, I am keen not to repeat the same error!

halifax - 26 Aug 2009 11:50 - 494 of 1234

Harry then you are in the "all or nothing mode"

cynic - 26 Aug 2009 11:54 - 495 of 1234

diddly irish companies are assuredly a better bet than dubious chinese ones!

HARRYCAT - 26 Aug 2009 11:56 - 496 of 1234

Yep. Have cashed in some which I bought at 7p, so am now happy to hold & see what happens to the rest.
I've got far too many stocks atm, including small oilies, which are all now drilling & rising (EME, VOG, PCI, GOO, AST) but can't complain about the rise. Just tricky to pick a realistic exit point!

hermana - 26 Aug 2009 11:57 - 497 of 1234

Youre right there but nothing quite beats a dodgy Nigerian one!

cynic - 26 Aug 2009 12:00 - 498 of 1234

like AFR you mean? ..... if so, not quite fair

hermana - 26 Aug 2009 13:05 - 499 of 1234

AFR are a straight up outfit. PCI boss used be boss there previously.

cynic - 26 Aug 2009 13:09 - 500 of 1234

that is a non seq! ..... btw, i like AFR too and as it stands, they have a much better future than PCI ..... the view on PCI is likely to be adjusted with next announcement

hermana - 26 Aug 2009 13:20 - 501 of 1234

That is an understatement!

halifax - 26 Aug 2009 15:05 - 502 of 1234

still motoring faster must be some news coming soon.

required field - 26 Aug 2009 16:55 - 503 of 1234

Good day for this one...and loads more wells to come : at least 5 I think in the next 14 months...

required field - 26 Aug 2009 16:57 - 504 of 1234

Correct me if you don't agree but I think this is good for just over the 20p mark and possibly more in 6 months or so...just guesswork...

cynic - 26 Aug 2009 17:04 - 505 of 1234

you're right; total guesswork! ...... it is an easy supposition that because sp whizzes away that there must assuredly be good news imminent ..... unfortunately as we all know to our cost, that is all too often not the case ..... on verra!

halifax - 26 Aug 2009 17:11 - 506 of 1234

cynic your guess is as good as ours... unless of course you have some insider info.

required field - 26 Aug 2009 17:12 - 507 of 1234

Depends on the testing..there will have something that's for sure but how much flow ?....a good result (for the city) might just send this up to the lower twenties and loads more wells to come from other prospects.

halifax - 26 Aug 2009 17:16 - 508 of 1234

rf don't think Iberdrola would be investing in a gas pipeline from Algeria to Spain if they were not pretty confident that they were going to be involved with the supply end.

required field - 26 Aug 2009 17:28 - 509 of 1234

I think that this is another little gem of a stock and with GKP...we have a couple of crackers here...and there are a few more that could deliver NOP,FPM,GPX...and such.
