Views on AMINEX's potential??? (AEX)

slmchow - 17 Feb 2004 12:50

From the latest company's drilling update....17 Feb

http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200402170700084897V.html

Can anyone with mining knowledge explain these terms....

What does sidetracking mean? Approx how ong will that take?
Approx. how long will it take to correct a deviated section?
Is 'crude oil in shale samples' a good indication that there is oil?
Is 'Gas-bearing porous sands being logged' a good indication that there is gas?
Basically what does logging involve ?

Any views re AEX potential??

Regards
Stephen

If you are a chartist you may be interested on this link http://tinyurl.com/dzrno,

I note on a different thread about the volumes over the last few sessions. Its states that volumes have raised considerably and the large rises in sp have gone hand in hand over the last quarter. It is suggested that now TA's will be attracted as the share price has broken through the long term down trend line on 20/10 (91p in July 1997) overcoming at the same time major resistance at 18/19p. The share has a rising 200ma line. Momentum has been high and many will be waiting for a pull back before entering the market. The optimum buy time was 24 August at around 11p. Well done to those who bought at that time. Rising sp on rising volume is good confirmation. The next resistance is likely to be the 42-45p area. So the current spread at the moment is 28.50/29p, not a bad time to get on board if you follow the chartists.
Ps Bugz are you in yet?

Still waiting!!! I just dunno......

Main problem is the short term news from NK IMO-I simply dont believe Kim is going to give anything in the talks next week-although an upbeat annoucement is likely, then denied the next day like last time! I agree that in the long term NK will have to have more to do with the international community, but until perhaps one of his son's takes over, I dont have much faith.

Having said that, I'm still so so so SO tempted in putting in an order!!! I was one of the lucky ones who bought at 12p, but one of the idiots who took profit at 18p!! LOL. We'll see.........

Greyhound - 08 Nov 2005 12:33 - 497 of 645

Bugz, I'm not convinced the share price rose last week on expectation of the talks progressing - but rather investors viewing the last Egypt RNS.

kaysmart - 08 Nov 2005 13:24 - 498 of 645

I agree with Greyhound, the last rise is due to the latest RNS and nothing to do with the six party talks starting this week. I dont expect much to come out of the meeting this week. There will be huffing & puffing from both side and they will agree to meet again in few months time.

However looking at the volumes over the last couple of months, my opinion is that with each rise there have been new shareholders joining in and some people like me topping up. But I am convinced, last Fridays rise has to do with a big purchase order, or we are about to get a very good RNS confirming some new deals????.

Greyhound - 08 Nov 2005 14:47 - 499 of 645

As already mentioned, just to remind people, the interims quoted " A number of other opportunities are currently under review and some are at an advanced stage of negotiation"

Since then we've had RNS's for Madagascar, Tanzania and Egypt. We may well see a correction from current levels or at best treading water, but personally I do not think it will be long before we hear something else.

Also out of interest I did speak to management re the rise on Friday and naturally there was no comment, however they were keeping a very close watch that afternoon fascinated by the activity.

North Korea talks set to resume.

What's that trade just gone through 34k at 30p? Looks a bit odd.

kaysmart - 09 Nov 2005 15:32 - 503 of 645

Anyone know any reason why the sp has dropped a bit today? In any case I took the opportunity to buy some more again today.

Apparently the talks are not progressing too well with DPRK and the US still sticking to their previous positions...........this could drag on for a while yet.

Maybe China will save the day?

squidd - 09 Nov 2005 20:05 - 505 of 645

After such a fabulous rise, there had to be some profit taking and a breather. Not too bothered yet.

Bobbybingo - 10 Nov 2005 00:41 - 506 of 645

However long it takes it has to be resolved - eventually!

Greyhound - 10 Nov 2005 09:51 - 507 of 645

Toe wet yet Baza?

Bugz - 10 Nov 2005 10:05 - 508 of 645

Well the sp is a bit more tasty to people who havent bought any yet today.

I agree with you Squidd, a drop was bound to happen..... Interesting to see if things perk up later on.

bhunt1910 - 10 Nov 2005 10:30 - 509 of 645

I am still in Greyhound - got some cheap and some which are now underwater when I got greedy

Greyhound - 10 Nov 2005 10:46 - 510 of 645

Looks more like a marking down on the lack of progression in the talks, rather than significant selling - small volumes.

krypton - 10 Nov 2005 11:08 - 511 of 645

Down pretty close to 20% from the 30p peak during the last trading week.
There ought to be strong support at around these levels.

35p before xmas, what you think?

kaysmart - 10 Nov 2005 15:03 - 513 of 645

Well 35p or 55p before Xmas, really does not matter. With this one you need to be a long term investor to get the highest benefit. I am taking a long-term view about the prospect of this company. if you look at companies like SOCO, DANA PETROLIUM, BURREN and others and go back few years you will see where they stood and where they are now. Especially with SOCO INTERNATIONAL, I know of some people who bought them at 30p few years back, and now, it is trading at 7 and is expected to double within 12 months. Some of those same people have heavily invested on Aminex, and have predicted the sp to double every three months, until it crosses the 1 mark, mind you they have bought in between 9/11p starting from August this year. My understanding is that they consider Aminex to be the next SOCO. After looking at their track record I genuine believe Aminex will be our soco in future. However it will not be easy ride, there are some rough and bumpy rides ahead. Once the Koreans political situation improves and foreign investment moves in, the long term investors will see the real benefit. The potential for this share is enormous. Pls, DYOR.
