Does anyone know why there has been such a big fall in share price recently. I t was only a few week ago when the price was 1.47. Soul trader I thought about buying in yesterday at 1.32 but did not. I should have done. I might just buy in today. At least they have good news with the oil find fep. Fep is a n oil share that I have never really took any notice of until now. I may buy ten thousand today. Good luck.

Most of the aim oilers have fallen recently so not a surprise that NOP is down. May get a surprise in the next day or two when the interims are announced. This is a very good longterm play. IMHO!

Hope you didnt buy into FEP this morning as some profit taking on the go and all up on potential and seismic. I would imagine you can get in a lot cheaper in a month when the euphoria dies down as it is still some time before production wil come on line and possible fundraising in the meantime to allow drilling.

I have decided to stick with nop. Left a bid to buy earlier on at 1.32 on fep. Just missed them before they started to go up again. Pity i did not leave 1.34 on them. I would have bought them. it was not to be they are now well up again. good luck to everyone.

Off Topic:
Janet: EME have some good prospects coming to fruition in the next few weeks. Certainly worth a look! A lot of upside potential.

I brought into this share at 53p a few moons ago.Everything was looking rosey in the garden @1.50 plus but over the last 6 mths its just slowly drifted downwards.
I haven`t really looked at it for a while, so checked last update and everything seems to be going ok. Odd delays etc but thats not new for an oil company.
Just wondered if anybody could let me have there thoughts on the company.
Many Thanks

Some RNS news looks positive; but the real reason for the drift is the lack of a severe winter and easing of the Gas from Russia - nothing like a cold nip to stir the actions of Brokers.
However, you have seen a 100% rise so why not leave well alone - the business looks to be moving forward and in an industry that can sell all it makes.
Compared with UK-manufacturing, or Retail, this has to be a winner.

Jeremy, I bought NP shares at ten pence, then sold them, and now i'm back in again for the long term.
My only concern is are we going to have a problem with the dutch assets: such as biodegradation of the like we encounted at Sandhills?
If not, with the latest revaluation, i would say the shares are well undervalued, and i won't be selling... even if the Avington well comes up dry.
Barclay of Huddersfield
Bought these at 6p and then got nervous! LOL. Maybe it's time to take another look.

FWIW The bottom line at present is that NOP is continuing to add to its considerable portfolio of licences and is moving towards production from its Dutch assets. Off the top of my head I think that the revenue stream looks a bit thin at present, but funding is in place for the planned developments and these will see revenues increase around the back end of 2008.
This is, after all an E&P company - with, currently, a lot of emphasis on the "E" (exploration) but "P" (production) will follow. The move into the gas storage joint venture looks like a good one - could potentially be very lucrative, with probably high start-up costs (haven't investigated, but Egdon Resources would provide a good comparison) but low maintenance costs.
Still, WDIK, just theorising at this point, but am definitely tempted to get back into the stock at this price given the prospects. Should be view as at least a medium-term hold, IMO.
