Univision, is a company that has been trading on AIM for approx two years. They are in the high tech business and produce, Microprocessor CCTV Control Systems, Video Distribution Amplifiers, Fibre Optic Transmission Systems and Smart Card Access Systems in Asia and the Middle East.
2007 Results show a marked improvement upon 2006 which was also a profitable year.
Profit before tax up 304% to 1,432,423, from 354,131 in 2006.
Turnover up 130% to 8.94 million, from 3.89 million in 2006.
Earnings per share up to 0.39p per share, from 0.18p in 2006.
Order book running significantly ahead of 2006.
Overall, this looks like a good play for the investor that likes to hold for the longer term. There is also significantly high director ownership, which bodes well with many investors.

Up 25% today. 10 times turnover would make this 27p per share.
This company is way undervalued, with all the work being carried out under contracts they have no employees, keeping costs down and profits up.
I love it.

Slight dip today Oilyrag but I'm sure nothing to worry about. I bought UVEL recently - it's in the right technological area, as you pointed out above, and it's demonstrating tremendous growth. Also, the Chairman has been stocking up this month and now holds 21.04% of the current issued share capital.
I'm expecting some long-term potential here.

How do you like the spread?

Not a problem if it jumps 30% at a time as it seems to at the moment. For a longer term investment its totally irrelevant.

Oops, have I started something. Like I said before halifax, as long as it keeps jumping at 30% or so at a time the spread becomes irrelevant. Are you in yet? This could easily go to 10p very soon.

Do you post on advfn oilyrag ?
I'm looking hard but finding it hard to find another stock as promising as Uvel with
such great prospects, if you have a 70% strike rate for getting contracts they tender for and a lot of your business is in Beijing and hey presto next years Olympic games are in Beijing and security will be one of the major priorities then i'm right in thinking there a lot of new business going to come their way.

Makes you wonder why it's so friendless at times.
Full year profits more than trebled to 1.4mil.
Eps of 0.39, trading at per of 8 for last year and even lower for this year
and it has no debt and cash in bank
Wins 70% of all tenders.
Strong growth prospects and presence in Beijing where Olympics are held next
year so sure to benefit from that.
Penny shares are booming again yet this one is lacking in support yet appears
one of the best value stocks around.
Maybe it should issue a profits warning then it will double in no time.

Somebody still wants to sell out of these even at a price that is just
5 times this years earnings forcast.
Seems to be no patience thesedays in penny stocks.

Almost everyday now the protected buyer is mopping up what stock
they can get and today was quite a large buy.
530k at 3.375p, this is building up to be quite a stakebuilding exercise
now, still a long way from 3% but it wont be if they keep buying over
a million every week.
And the beauty is you can buy cheaper than what they pay, well the
early birds tomorrow will get sub 3.25p but i dont think it will last.

Interesting thought that there's stakebuilding going on. Must surely filter through to the sp eventually?
I took a profit on this one a short while ago, and then bought back at too high a price. Hope it moves up again soon!
