MM,

Possibly, because I asked whether the MM745 could receive calls from the 3 Netowrk, and it can provided another additional piece of kit is used, which i'm sorry forgot the name of it, as I didn't think the option very viable, and think they should buiild in the capability if they can.

That would be a real boost if they could include it.

This is my first post since I have started to use MoneyAm. Previously I was with MarketEye but their back-office is in such a shambles I had to move and there are now cheaper systems around anyway. I also like MoneyAm Level 2, which I thought MarketEye was about to introduce early last year.

Anyway back to MM. I bought a large chunk of MM when they had their rights issue last December at 3.5p. I also made a lot of money out of them liquidating my position around the 1.76p level.

I think the management stinks and has done so for several years. When Graham Browne & Ian Silvester resigned they were left with just a skeleton management. Poor old Rex Thorne is no spring chicken and will find it difficult to inspire confidence in the future of the company. What I cannot get my head around yet is what role Garey De Angelis will play in the future. I would put my money on him arranging for the company to be taken over, as it cannot survive in its present form.

The announcement with Cisco will not resolve the cash burn. What the company needs to do is sell its technology to companies that will use it more actively. It is a market leader where videophones are concerned and this is where the money is to be made. But I fear it will not be with MM in its present form.

Rumours abound of further announcements shortly and my guess is that we will see the price move up to around the 8p level. I think it will be one of those shares where you buy the rumour and sell the fact.

Good luck

Sampo

AGP 1 YEAR Charts reveal an upward curve recovering again from profit take last few days, my prediction after examing charts is upwards from 83-110 and then hitiing-150 level before dropping back a little...if i am correct then the Dr Peppers are on me...(my fave drink btw...)

Lets see how the week turns out...

Andy - 13 Aug 2003 23:12 - 12 of 27

jules99,

Are you joking?

Or did I misunderstand your post, a share that is now 6p, is going to 150p?

HAve you calculated the percentgage increase?

Do you know how many times that sort of percentage increase occurs on the LSE?

Haystack - 13 Aug 2003 23:29 - 13 of 27

Are we talking about the same stock. MMD is the one whose directors left a couple of weeks ago and are running out of cash. I think the MMs are pushing up the price a bit to move the stock of a big seller. MMD issued over 100m shares last December diluting everyone's shares by 50%. I suspect there is a couple of big sellers trading on the price rises.

Anyone know why this stock all of a sudden come back to life again? It has not moved for a few days? Searched but found no news.

Haystack - 15 Aug 2003 13:25 - 18 of 27

There is no news, just rumours. I guess that the MMs are happy to go along with it. Results late September should be pretty bad and not much cash.

jph321 - 15 Aug 2003 13:30 - 19 of 27

what is MMs ?

Haystack - 15 Aug 2003 15:01 - 20 of 27

Market Makers.

ticker - 15 Aug 2003 15:36 - 21 of 27

Haystack, so what rumours are going around out there then? I guess you don't own this stock as you are pretty negative on it?

Andy - 15 Aug 2003 19:04 - 22 of 27

ticker,

Various rumours about deals, more deals, and huge deals, but SO FAR they don't have any substance as the company haven't made an RNS announcement to the market.

IF and when they do, rumours will become fact, not before.

There is an old saying, "buy the rumour, sell the news", and that MAY be applicable here.

Everyne has to make their own mind up as to what degree of risk they want to take in a share. This is at the riskier end at the moment, cash is almost certainly running a bit low, and I feel a fundraising will be needed soon.

jules99 - 18 Aug 2003 12:22 - 23 of 27

closed down...too risky from here at the moment...

sampo - 19 Aug 2003 09:38 - 24 of 27

Morning Ticker,

You seem to have said no more than my posting of 11 August!

Maybe I can add a little more substance for the reasons behind the possible recent firmness in the share price. I hear through the grapevine that there are vibes that MM's mm 745 ID browser videophone has received a very, very positive response from all those who are presently testing the new units. While MM is not in full production yet they have been sending out the new unit to many interested parties. One only has to surmise that if the tests prove to be as positive as the first indications of the favourable test receptions have been then the New Year might prove to be a major turning point in new orders. If this is the case then the share price could be set to fly. But we have been here before, TWICE! And I cannot believe the present company management has the necessary where withal to take the company into the future.

I set my sights on the shares hitting 8-9p, where they are at present, and where I would be looking to sell. The rights issue was at 3.5p and I now have nearly a 200% profit, which looks very inviting to take. However, I also hear that yesterday's huge turnover could well have brought in a number of sizeable new investors. If this is the case then they will be looking to at least double their investment. If the price can get through the 10/12p level then 25p will be the next stopping point.

I have decided to stay with the shares, certainly in the short term, and with a very sizeable commitment my investment is now in six figures. Buy the rumour; sell the fact is the norm. But with the facts only likely to materialise in the New Year we have some time to run and plenty of room for further price appreciation. But beware it could all be on a lot of hot air!!!!

Regards
SAMPO
