Operating profits rose by 14% despite a poor finish to the squid fishing season. Darwin Shipping operated three successful trips to the Islands, while there was a good performance from the Upland Goose Hotel. Work is in place to expand the retail operation in Stanley and a range of Waitrose products will be introduced. Elsewhere, oil and mineral exploration programmes are proceeding apace, with results due by July 2003. (JC)

Why? I'm always interested to hear how the squid fishing went this year, and how the Upland Goose Hotel did.

If this was over the road there'd be a zillion threads on the same subject. Nice to see some discipline.

Gausie,
Now on Investors thread. I would not have duplicated on there but as someone has pointed out nearly 5 years between first and second post appears to show no-one was following it on that thread. With the latest news it looks as if more interest may be generated there which will benifit all.
Seymour Clearly,
Like you, I hope the discipline continues.
Cheeres to both,
Greek.

Please post on the Falkland Islands Holdings thread FKL to save duplication.
Thanks.
