About time something happened with this one. Have been in since GMS days and seen the stock go from 45p to 3.5p! Sources say that the original deal was over-complicated and the management aren't respected.

Are there any cross company share deals between MRL and Chaco Resources (CHP) ? As both were spawned out of what was Gold Mines of Sardinia that may be a possibility and a reason for the recent MRL rise. The 'divorce' documentation when MRL was formed was so complicated and long winded I don't think I have the inclination to search through it, particulary if someone else already has. I hold some of these but have not been expecting much as the way they seem to do business in Sardinia seemed destined to ensure that shareholders will only benefit when the mgt. and authorities have explored all other options!

What is driving this company up? Does anyone know anything other than it was the sister company of Chaco? It has virtually doubled in recent days with no rumour etc. I thought that it was a dog - only good for CGT relief. Welcome any thoughts.

Is anyone aware of any impending good news here after all this time? Surely they cannot be about to exploit their gold assets in Sardinia!!!There are no connections with Chaco ( the other spin-off from GMS) so they are not rising on the back of Chaco's success.

Anyone else puzzled at why anyone is showing any interest in MRL ? There must be something happenning to it but so far I cannot find out. Anyone else on here know?

Sharesure - there's a lively thread on 'the other BB' (don't know whether to tread carefully or not - I'm not too used to these boards!) with posts up to today.
Somewhere else some MRL ramper is butting in on a thread devoted to something other than MRL and getting rough treatment*. Can't remember where I've seen it but it's recent.
*Having said that MRL are really motoring since the turn of the year. I bought shares in GMS back in 2000 for my granddaughter 'for a bit of fun' or to pay for her first house(!!). She now has shares in CHP and MRL deriving from GMS and they are both doing well this year after being worth next to nothing 4 months ago. She has 494 shares in MRL, worth about 49.40, which might just about be enough to buy a microwave oven to go in said house.

schiff, which bb's. I don't go to any others other than ADVFN as Sharesure2 - want to meet the ADFVN owner of Sharesure as he's causing confusion. MRL is curious; I'd laugh my socks off if these do go anywhere as I had thought they were a basket case only fit for a CGT loss offset.

It is on advfn - I just put Medoro Resources in the Search box and it comes up with 2 threads. The one started by rcorlett2 has 1783 posts including today's.
PS: I've grown to respect your comments over the last month or so (not been on MAM very long) so I'll have to watch the double identity factor on advfn!

Schiff, are you also in Chaco? If not, I still think that the sp rise is in its infancy.

SS - yes I am, I'm glad to say! Started off in late November at 7.5p, topped up at 10p and bought some more this last week at 14.2p. As you can tell from that I'm hooked!
It does seem to hold out the chance of excitement in the coming months - and let's hope even longer. It won't be a short term investment for me.

advfn - the principal Chaco thread - post 8257.

Schiff, Glad you're also a fan of Chaco - that is going to be a 'once in a decade' stock.
You have misunderstood my ADFVN post. Whilst I post here as Sharesure, I couldn't get the same name when I recently registered with ADFVN; obviously I'd like to be able to do that to avoid any confusion but in the meantime had to settle for Sharesure2. As far as I can tell the registered ADFVN holder under the name of Sharesure does not post at all.
