Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

Cynic - I'm certainly enjoying the hospitality - currently having a lunch of Shashlyk in Chimbulak in the mountains. Thankfully no sign of yaks or camels. Just waiting for the market chaos to start.

I am not gobsmacked at todays poor reaction to what is excellent news.
Markets are very weak, it is a bear market and money is drying up fast. Its not going to get any better either in the next couple of months.
I have sold 50% of my RKH holding today. Not a decision taken lightly as I wanted to review in Dec, which I will do.

Bit of a shock the two faced Pro has DUMPED MOST OF RKH and his real thoughts on RKH are not that nice or good either.
He really is a two faced misleading beep, a spiv, boiler room idiot and con man.
Read for yourself his post 72380 in his own words on motelyfool under oil & gas companies thread.

There are so many slumps...it's mind blowing........I've bought one or two shares here and there...nothing in RKH.....just so many bargains out there if you have the dosh.....you know : those lottery winners could transform their 161 million pounds into a billion if properly invested with this slump....they could become the first lottery billionaires......incredible !.....

Rockhopper Exploration, the North Falkland Basin oil and gas exploration company, has provided an update on the 14/10-6 appraisal well.
The third appraisal well on the Sea Lion feature was drilled 4.1km to the west of the 14/10-2 discovery well on licence PL032 (100% Rockhopper) and to a total depth of 2706m (drilled depth).
Results at upper end of expectations and well confirms significant reservoir development and hydrocarbon charge within Rockhopper's currently interpreted Sea Lion mid-case area
Sam Moody, Chief Executive, commented:"The results of this well are at the upper end of expectations for the Sea Lion main fan complex and we are delighted to see these oil charged sands extending to the west as prognosed. The thickness and quality of reservoir encountered in the lower fan complex gives additional potential updip."
