THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Reminds me of something I was reading in a local rag today, referring to a council chappie called Mustapha Butt.

You really couldn't make it up.

what a lovely day.

hewittalan6 - 11 Aug 2006 08:36 - 5070 of 81564

And top of the morning to you, too, Bos.
BTW. You were right, God damn you. I was a day too early bemoaning the lack of rise on HYC's golden cross!!!
1-0 to Bos.

Al, re your post 5064 (if you really want to know): it would have been a rhetorical question, but for the fact you are asking us for an answer. So it was. But now it isn't and ohmygoshineedmorecoffee . . . . . . .

hewittalan6 - 11 Aug 2006 12:08 - 5074 of 81564

ST,
The thread is called the Talk to yourself thread, so was I asking you all the question or was I talking to the multitude of voices in my head???
Alan

Can the voices in your head send e-mails too?

hewittalan6 - 11 Aug 2006 13:04 - 5076 of 81564

My daughter has a t-shirt that says "I hear voices in my head......and they don't like you".
I always liked that t-shirt.

hewittalan6 - 11 Aug 2006 13:05 - 5077 of 81564

I do have voices in my head though.
When I asked the Doctor he told me I wa a paranoid schizophrenic.
Well he didn't actually say that, but we know what he was driving at.

soul traders - 11 Aug 2006 13:08 - 5078 of 81564

:o) LOL. I hope your daughter is not, say, four years old, cos that would be scary.

I like the line from 'Something's Gotta Give' by Aerosmith, "Does the noise in my head bother you?"

hewittalan6 - 11 Aug 2006 13:13 - 5079 of 81564

Shes 13, which is even scarier, because she has that look that teenagers give to adults.
You know, the one that says "There are less worthy things in the world than you, but not as many as you might imagine".
That look when the t-shirt is on has me reaching for the whisky and checking the brake pipes on my car.

I'm quaking in my boots just imagining it, Al.

I'm sure she loves her Dad really, though. Her cutting your brake lines is just her way of getting Daddy's attention.

bosley - 11 Aug 2006 17:22 - 5081 of 81564

my daughter has a t shirt that says, i love my daddy. (awwww.) while i can still get her to wear things like that i will. she also has another one that says, i like to watch football with my daddy....... and she does. she loved sitting on my knee , watching the world cup with me. not that i'm brainwashing her or anyfink or trying to get in there early so i'm not outvoted and have to sit through every feckin reality show on telly for the next 20 years !!!! i mean, there's only so much love island that a man can take !!!

hewittalan6 - 11 Aug 2006 18:10 - 5083 of 81564

Missing you desperately, Driver. And if you're up to a 34C you must have had those implants you were telling me about!!

what a week!! what a result!!

soul traders - 12 Aug 2006 11:49 - 5086 of 81564

That's enough boasting about tropical temperatures - here in Germany the temperatures have dropped so far I had to put the gas heating on yesterday!

Could be good news for my investment in EOG Warrants though!
