Still Waiting - 25 Jul 2008 23:22

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

Gausie - 31 Jan 2014 15:28 - 5115 of 6187

I think the japanese call this continuation pattern a pregnant harami

skinny - 31 Jan 2014 15:29 - 5116 of 6187

That's definitely a chart pattern name - can't remember what it looks like though...

cynic - 31 Jan 2014 15:30 - 5117 of 6187

because i'm far from convinced, as are a number of other analysts with just as much or more credibility, that MrE's blog was little more than malicious in an (successful) attempt to manipulate the market

i could very easily be wrong, as indeed could you, as history indicates

=========

without being "silly", you also reckoned that 120 would be quite a severe resistance on the way back up .... it wasn't
now we have 130 .... though that has yet to be breached, traffic is quite light and evenly balanced and applying no particular downward pressure

Balerboy - 31 Jan 2014 15:34 - 5118 of 6187

Now then cynic, gausie put forward a valid argument.

skinny - 31 Jan 2014 15:35 - 5119 of 6187

Gausie - so its bullish then :-)

galatica - 31 Jan 2014 15:36 - 5120 of 6187

Breaking over 130p again

required field - 31 Jan 2014 15:44 - 5121 of 6187

Out again.....fun this...

galatica - 31 Jan 2014 16:03 - 5122 of 6187

Charting

Finishing at this price or better would be bullish as the Candle would be a Bullish Harami well known as a reversal signal

Shortie - 31 Jan 2014 16:10 - 5123 of 6187

All I'll say is do a quick google on Bullish Harami for accuracy before trusting this as a signal.. As with all candlestick charts the more candlesticks the better the picture..

Dil - 31 Jan 2014 16:16 - 5124 of 6187

These are going to 80p short term according to my tea leaves.

Good luck if your long , think your going to need some.

cynic - 31 Jan 2014 16:16 - 5125 of 6187

meanwhile, back in the real world, as it's quiet here, i've been able to watch the L2 BLNX screen constantly
for the last hour, sp has scarcely moved, oscillating between 128.5 and 129.75

halifax - 31 Jan 2014 16:21 - 5126 of 6187

cynic don't you fancy a candlelit dinner with gently cooked casseroled bullish harami?

cynic - 31 Jan 2014 16:22 - 5127 of 6187

i thought with all those candles, it was an esoteric version of some BDSM ritual!

Shortie - 31 Jan 2014 16:28 - 5128 of 6187

Harami in Japan refers to belly sticking out... So in food could also be Pork maybe.. Did someone mention casserole!

cynic - 31 Jan 2014 16:32 - 5129 of 6187

so it's all to play for in the 2nd half aka monday!

galatica - 31 Jan 2014 16:36 - 5130 of 6187

I know what I say, more than I can say for some here ( no idea )

BULLISH HARAMI: This pattern consists of a black body and a small white body that is completely inside the range of the black body. If an outline is drawn for the pattern, it looks like a pregnant woman. This is not a coincidence. “Harami” is an old Japanese word for “pregnant”.

HARRYCAT - 31 Jan 2014 16:36 - 5131 of 6187

I have a feeling the BLNX management have cancelled all their weekend activities and are planning their strategy. They certainly should be, imo. Would certainly be expecting a RNS to clarify things early next week.

Dil - 31 Jan 2014 16:40 - 5133 of 6187

Think they would have already done that if they had anything to say. Why aren't they sueing that guy who published this research if it's all crap ?

cynic - 31 Jan 2014 16:47 - 5134 of 6187

take a pill and get a life galatica
do you always take yourself this seriously, as if so, you're going to get an awful lot of ribbing?

btw, a frightfully MRSI type of chart and peevish comment

i'm no lawyer, but it cannot be against the law to write rubbish, if that is what it is
having thought about it, i'ld guess the only legal line would be "malicious gossip with intent" but that's probably very difficult to prove in court

further, you'ld give the chap oxygen and take many months and many $000 to get to court, during which time, this whole episode will have blown away or at least followed its natural course
