BLINX and you've missed it, the next google multi bagger!!! (BLNX)

Still Waiting - 25 Jul 2008 23:22

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

Harami in Japan refers to belly sticking out... So in food could also be Pork maybe.. Did someone mention casserole!

cynic - 31 Jan 2014 16:32 - 5129 of 6187

so it's all to play for in the 2nd half aka monday!

galatica - 31 Jan 2014 16:36 - 5130 of 6187

I know what I say, more than I can say for some here ( no idea )

BULLISH HARAMI: This pattern consists of a black body and a small white body that is completely inside the range of the black body. If an outline is drawn for the pattern, it looks like a pregnant woman. This is not a coincidence. “Harami” is an old Japanese word for “pregnant”.

I have a feeling the BLNX management have cancelled all their weekend activities and are planning their strategy. They certainly should be, imo. Would certainly be expecting a RNS to clarify things early next week.

Think they would have already done that if they had anything to say. Why aren't they sueing that guy who published this research if it's all crap ?

cynic - 31 Jan 2014 16:47 - 5134 of 6187

take a pill and get a life galatica
do you always take yourself this seriously, as if so, you're going to get an awful lot of ribbing?

btw, a frightfully MRSI type of chart and peevish comment

===========

i'm no lawyer, but it cannot be against the law to write rubbish, if that is what it is
having thought about it, i'ld guess the only legal line would be "malicious gossip with intent" but that's probably very difficult to prove in court

further, you'ld give the chap oxygen and take many months and many $000 to get to court, during which time, this whole episode will have blown away or at least followed its natural course

Dil - 31 Jan 2014 16:48 - 5135 of 6187

It's tabby in disguise cynic so what do you expect ?

cynic - 31 Jan 2014 16:52 - 5136 of 6187

nope - much more likely MRSI whose style it is starting to resemble .... nothing like tabby's

Dil - 31 Jan 2014 16:54 - 5137 of 6187

And if anyone thinks the last two candles show a bullish pattern they are having a laugh.

My take is it's an inside day and a future finish below 120p is bearish and a future finish above about 172p is bullish.

Now ask yourself which you think is more likely ?

All above based on Dil's common sense approach to charting for numpties :-)

Balerboy - 31 Jan 2014 16:55 - 5138 of 6187

Send me a copy Dil, i'll let cyners have after.,.

Dil - 31 Jan 2014 16:59 - 5139 of 6187

lol , no problem Balerboy and I'll even chuck in a copy of tea leaf reading for serious investors.

galatica - 31 Jan 2014 17:03 - 5140 of 6187

What about... is it going to rain tomorrow or is only tonight?

do not forget the Cognac to celebrate in advance for next week pregnancy test

skinny - 31 Jan 2014 17:08 - 5141 of 6187

This is an email that someone claims to have received from Edelman

Thanks for the note and for your interest.

I disagree with your claim that all portions of Blinkx bill advertisers only if a user clicks an ad. That's demonstrably false.

Advertisers often mismeasure ad effectiveness. For example, the Walmart placement I reported would appear to be quite effective, via standard measures (e.g. conversion rate). But it's actually a ruse -- all sales that Walmart would have received anyway.

I don't know what you mean by "Pinball is no longer trading." The ex-Zango assets -- the adware and popup business -- are still operational, as I demonstrated. I suggest greater scrutiny of the adware business. You insist that this is "irrelevant to Blinkx" current results, but I don't see how you can be sure of that based on the limited information Blinkx discloses. Meanwhile, my article provided top-quality proof -- screenshots and even videos -- showing that that business is still operating.

I cite my sources and did original research including installing adware, video-recording the installation, browsing the Blinkx site with network forensics tools running and video-recording that too, and so forth. The facts speak for themselves. Thanks for the note and for your interest.

hmm .... even assuming the e-mail from edelman is correct, edelman is clearly very much on the defensive .... the market will make up its own mind

ExecLine - 02 Feb 2014 14:08 - 5145 of 6187

Well, he is certainly sticking his neck out with his comment.

I think his defensiveness is because his comment has utterly shocked a lot of people, including the company and had enormous consequences to lots of its investors. Thus it is all extremely controversial.

Importantly, Edelman uses facts and says, " I cite my sources and did original research including installing adware, video-recording the installation, browsing the Blinkx site with network forensics tools running and video-recording that too, and so forth. The facts speak for themselves."

I can generally recognise support from 'smoke and mirrors' when I see it and do try to look for it. I don't have a position in BLNX but if I did, I would be well short.

I would put my £5 on the start of the week kicking off some fresh shorts and sending the sp down once again.

Cyners post 5130 confirms your findings, master RSI who has been banned twice in the last 2 months by management.

Take his posts with a pinch of salt.

Likes playing games.

cynic - 02 Feb 2014 14:33 - 5147 of 6187

EL - it's worth reading the counter argument too .... not necessarily quite as edelman states
