Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

On citywire this morning........

Blinkx ‘buying opportunity’
Analysts have spotted a buying opportunity in Blinx, the video search group that on Thursday lost one third of its value after allegations about the way it generates advertising revenue.

‘As with any strongly performing, highly rated stock the group is susceptible to volatility and we view the share price movement as a buying opportunity’, said Numis analyst Paul Richards, noting Blinkx was the best performing UK media stock in 2013.

A US blogger published a report which raised concerns about the business model of Blinkx and was taken very seriously by markets. The company subsequently said it ‘strongly refutes the assertions made and conclusions drawn in the blog post’.

The company’s shares shifted a bit higher on Friday, to trade up 7% at 127p by mid-afternoon. Richards’ target price assumes an almost doubling of the shares, to 225p.

BLNX 129.50p +11p

is following the bounce from yesterday morning after the large drop on the descredited - Edelman - note.

Finishing at this price or better would be bullish on the Candlestick charting of a bullish Harami

BULLISH HARAMI: This pattern consists of a black body and a small white body that is completely inside the range of the black body. If an outline is drawn for the pattern, it looks like a pregnant woman. This is not a coincidence. “Harami” is an old Japanese word for “pregnant”.

"Richards’ target price assumes an almost doubling of the shares, to 225p."

Hmmmm.... It almost "sounds too good to be true" ......

Shortie - 03 Feb 2014 11:07 - 5161 of 6187

Needs to take out 140.5 resistance to make any bullish case as the daily chart below shows. 125 is best guess at support however this has yet to be tested..

galatica - 03 Feb 2014 12:01 - 5164 of 6187

shortie

your chart tells me nothing, just lines with no figures

---------
for what I remember there was and has been resistance now every 10p
100p was very strong on 2 points- mainly changing the trend
110p went up pretty fast, though it comback twice under it
120p lasted a couple hours
130p most of last Friday, it reached that point the day before
140p lasting a couple hours now

shortie
gausie reckoned strong resistance at 120 - that was blown out of the water
gausie reckoned strong resistance at 130 - that was blown out of the water

we now have a situation where 140 is being challenged though not yet pierced

===============

it would not be surprising to see bears' pain-tolerance being similarly tested, and if that is the case then .... watch this space

Haystack - 03 Feb 2014 12:32 - 5166 of 6187

Shotie's chart is pretty good. It tells quite a lot, even though not to you.

Haystack

talking rubish as usual
I am not at you good book I know ( since I told you OFF ) but grow up though you are as old as Matusalem already

cynic - 03 Feb 2014 12:37 - 5168 of 6187

125 was truly mangled on friday, with sp dropping to about 85 i think, and mostt assuredly below 100 ..... that it recovered from that point by close of play to >120/125 is surely relevant

=============

galatica - why are you sounding more and more like MRSI (also known by various other aliases)?

Haystack - 03 Feb 2014 12:39 - 5169 of 6187

I thought it would rise fairly fast, but this about the level I thought it would stop at. I don't think the majority of PIs have returned and it may be running out of steam. I am still expecting a substantial fall again. BLNX don't seem to have addressed the criticism levelled against them. It wouldn't take much for panic to set in again. A customer jumping ship or an institution selling out.

Shortie - 03 Feb 2014 12:42 - 5170 of 6187

I've no idea how Gausie charted his figures so can't comment on them, I have my own. I'd also suspect that the technical bears are awaiting round 2 now to go short, 140.5 I think will be the level. You'll have to wait and see..

cynic - 03 Feb 2014 12:51 - 5171 of 6187

i really don't know shortie, and as you say, we can only wait and see
at the moment, the books are very evenly balanced, as they have been all morning
