Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

Laser fusion will render all other forms of energy generation obsolete; possibly not by 2016, but .............we may not need RKH oil at all ;o)

On a more serious note, if anyone had stated that they thought the sp would finish the day 10p down after todays well result, he would have been declared, 'stark raving bonkers'.
I hope Casper, Johnson and Kermit are not as big as Sea Lion, as if they are our shares will probably be worth zilch.
I have never see any share defy logic as much as this one.

greek the bail out by BHP/BLT casts doubt on whether RKH and others can attract big names to develop and finance oil finds in this part of the world even ignoring the political risk.

Remember that Shell had these licenses years ago and bailed out.
Says a lot doesn't it.

marky so in fact shell made the right decision and saved a lot of money, whether they are interested in coming back still remains doubtful.

The Americans have now started to develop
shale oil and gas with new technology. There seems
to be a very high potential in it.

Halifax,
A bit puzzled here.
In the past I have found most of your posts, well argued and balanced, but just lately you appear to just post opposite to everything people are saying.
No doubt you are out of RKH due to your too risky comments, and fair enough, but as I still believe they are a very good investment (admitting there is some risk as always in this type of share), I am still in.
As we are going round in circles re RKH, I will leave it there.
Regards Greek.

Looks like they are going into production and will need to raise over a billion pounds.
Should not be difficult.
I wonder if they will issue more shares to the big investors they will need (probably) or take a partner via a farm in.
No doubt we will soon know the answer.
