in this instance, i think it best just to watch ...... many better shares to buy

Big Al - 14 Nov 2006 08:58 - 528 of 2087

I take it we'll get our weekly update tomorrow?

Big Al - 15 Nov 2006 08:09 - 529 of 2087

ttt

cynic - 15 Nov 2006 08:15 - 530 of 2087

and singularly exciting reading that wasn't too!
and the prompt sharp dip in sp shows the fragility of the stock and the recent steep rise

Big Al - 15 Nov 2006 08:18 - 531 of 2087

cynic

Interesting change this week, don't you think. I'm not trying to read anything into it. ;-)

cynic - 15 Nov 2006 08:33 - 532 of 2087

Al .... like you, i just watch this one with interest ...... don't think even my greed will tempt me in here

HARRYCAT - 15 Nov 2006 09:10 - 533 of 2087

IMO if it drops back to the 50-60p range it could well be worth having another small stake just to cover the next bounce up. It may be totally illogical, but if the sp moves up on the merest whiff of gas, then why not take advantage???!

Big Al - 15 Nov 2006 09:30 - 534 of 2087

You do have a point HARRY. ;-)

We're in week #3 of the updates through the target section. No mention of gas today - is that deliberate? Dunno, but it jumped right out at me at 7am this morning. ;-0

cynic - 15 Nov 2006 09:41 - 535 of 2087

the gas? ..... merely last night's curry coming home!

Big Ted - 15 Nov 2006 09:52 - 536 of 2087

This company seems reknowned for this, a traders (not investors) dream, very irratic, and no-one seems to have any patience, any RNS that says they still have 2/3 weeks of drilling and look what happens, likewise the mere'st mention of gas/oil and up she goes...
i all but sold out @87p but it will have to drop to mid 50's (which i doubt short term) for me to buy more...

cynic - 15 Nov 2006 10:13 - 537 of 2087

Ted .... why buy at all?

hlyeo98 - 15 Nov 2006 12:32 - 538 of 2087

EME is not worth going in until it drops to 40p

Big Ted - 15 Nov 2006 16:06 - 539 of 2087

reason for buying...volatility, this has proved time and time again its capable of 25% swing plus in a day, but i do think its overvalued at present...

tcdmct - 15 Nov 2006 22:52 - 540 of 2087

Ok lets all put our hats in the bag.
We can all have a guess at what the Price will be 1 week from today 22nd of November.

I will start the ball rolling with

85p .

Anyone esle wish to have a go.

hlyeo98 - 15 Nov 2006 23:25 - 541 of 2087

60p

oilyrag - 16 Nov 2006 07:10 - 542 of 2087

120p but then I am always an optimist.

cynic - 16 Nov 2006 08:14 - 543 of 2087

reverting to my "pretty little chart" (post 503), sp has done as i predicted - i.e. hit 200 dma and fell back, prehaps more sharply than even i thought ..... my guess now is that it will fall to the slightly rising 50 dma at about 55/60p ...... in fact unless eme come up with some good and solid news in the pretty near future, sp could even break below that level

hlyeo98 - 16 Nov 2006 11:41 - 544 of 2087

You are completely right, cynic

Empyrean Energy PLC
('Empyrean' or the 'Company'; Ticker: (EME))

Sugarloaf Hosston Prospect, Texas USA
-------------------------------------

Further gas show

AIM quoted Empyrean Energy PLC today announces that at 6am Texas time on 16
November 2006, the Sugarloaf-1 exploration well was drilling ahead at 19,434
feet (5,925 metres).

Since the last progress report released on 15 November 2006, the well has
encountered a gas show over an 18 foot (5.5 metres) interval. Total gas
readings peaked at 536 units from a background of about 230 units and
chromatography indicates the gas consists dominantly of methane (C1), with
ethane (C2), propane (C3) and a trace of butane (C4).

The economic significance of these gas indications will not be known until
wire-line logs, programmed to be run after the well has reached total depth,
have been interpreted and flow testing, if warranted, has been evaluated.

Drilling is continuing towards the proposed total depth of 21,000 feet
6,400 metres).

The information contained in this announcement was completed and reviewed by the
Technical Director of Empyrean Energy Plc, Mr Frank Brophy BSc (Hons) who has
over 40 years experience as a petroleum geologist.

A whole 18 feet - WOW!
