Views on AMINEX's potential??? (AEX)

slmchow - 17 Feb 2004 12:50

From the latest company's drilling update....17 Feb

http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200402170700084897V.html

Can anyone with mining knowledge explain these terms....

What does sidetracking mean? Approx how ong will that take?
Approx. how long will it take to correct a deviated section?
Is 'crude oil in shale samples' a good indication that there is oil?
Is 'Gas-bearing porous sands being logged' a good indication that there is gas?
Basically what does logging involve ?

Any views re AEX potential??

Regards
Stephen

If Evil's going long that's a good sign but keep alert for when he turns short!!

kaysmart - 18 Nov 2005 15:11 - 529 of 645

Simon Cawkwell (EK) had posted this on ADVFN

I have had this explained to me. The target is 100p a year from now.

I am no oil man (though, of course, I'm oil man) and I have to take on board the argument with a fair degree of trust chucked in. But the story seems astonishingly attractive and I for one reckon that the North Koreans really cannot be dense indefinitely about developing their economy.

Another heavyweight known as emptyend whom I respect and value his comments very highly had this to say

My own expectation, though, is that 100p will not take a year.....more like 9 months, I think ....as noted here: By late summer I think the DPRK talks direction will be clear and it is quite possible that AEX will become a hotly contested bid situation [with the Chinese, Russians, Japanese and South Koreans all involved, as well as various European surrender monkeys!].

I hope they will not mind me copying there comments on this board.
All we need now is some good RNS on the political front or on the drilling side for AEX to do what VOG is doing at present, nearly trebled in two days.

I hope so! I just bought 50k, I wonder why its showing black. I would assume that 70k is also a purchase.

cant believe how this has not gone up with number of BUYS going through.

ianwas - 29 Nov 2005 09:51 - 537 of 645

Pretty close to my upper trend line (Last high a bit exceptional) so good chance of small retracement before pushing foreward. Should get into 30+ region soon......... MM's up to their usual tricks again otherwise as you say recent buys should have pushed us over 30p.

kaysmart - 29 Nov 2005 14:01 - 538 of 645

Hi iawas,
I agree with you. I think MMS are scaring the short term traders in to selling so that they accumulate enough stock before moving up to 30+ region. I have no worries it dropping a bit, as a long-term holder I expect it to reach 1+ within the next 10/12 months. I may even consider topping up again if I can release some funds from my other holdings.

HongKong oil company have discovered another oil/gas field in China's Bohai Bay. It's in the north- east, so this could prove close to DPRK's border. Should start ticking higher.

S. Korean military vows to support establishment of peace regime
SEOUL, Dec. 5 (Yonhap) -- South Korean military leaders pledged Monday to support the government's efforts to formulate a peace regime on the divided peninsula.

About 120 top military brass met to formulate their policy objective next year in a high-profile biannual consultation, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"We will actively assist in the government's efforts to establish a peace regime at a military level," the statement said.

In September's six-nation nuclear talks in Beijing, participants in the forum agreed to establish a peace regime on the peninsula, but no follow-up discussions have been held.

South Korean officials say the establishment of a peace regime could convert the Korean War armistice into a peace treaty. The armistice has technically left the two Koreas in a state of war.

The South Korean military leaders also vowed to strengthen their military alliance with United States and other neighboring nations, the statement said.

It seemed to me that AEX had temporarily run out of steam, so in recent days have been taking excellent profits within my ISA and piling into ELA, which seems to be in strong uptrend. Have mentioned before that these 2 shares seem to been in differing phases, so I expect to be changing over again soon.

Squidd, wouldn't touch Elan the share price is a bet on a single drug Tysbari! How about Uruguy Minerals or Falklands oil and gas for a longer term play.

squidd - 12 Dec 2005 21:46 - 547 of 645

Mad Pad: It's the high risk that attracts me, that's how I got into AEX and most of my other holdings in the first place. Thanks for the tips though, will look up your longer term suggestions.
