Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

Fundamentalist - 24 Jun 2005 18:55 - 5307 of 24230

spacey thanks but i have managed to fix it now

it would help if i realised that i had a card with a pci interface (yes it was that old) rather than an agp one. Gave up on the old card and went and bought a new one - far easier solution.

have got the machine running all i need to do now is get it set up on-line along with the router

time for a pint i believe - i think ive earnt it

bunny - thanks for your concerns

Fundamentalist - 24 Jun 2005 23:04 - 5308 of 24230

evening all

beaten by the router - spaceman you have mail

Spaceman - 25 Jun 2005 08:26 - 5309 of 24230

Morning all, much cooler and cloudy here in Hastings.

fundy, sorry for the delay, reply sent.

Socrates - 25 Jun 2005 09:48 - 5310 of 24230

Morning all, Bacon Omelette for me, toast and tea to follow.

Heard from No. 1 Son and Daughter in law at Glastonbury, safe but rather muddy. Rather them them me, I like my comfort.

Spaceman - 25 Jun 2005 09:56 - 5311 of 24230

socs, I must admit watching the mud on TV last night I was happy that we sent our tickets back. We ended up not going because we could not get a camper van and we went for a camper van because we could not face the possibility of bad weather and camping. Its funny how at 18 3 days with very few washing facilities, unpleasant toilets and acres of mud doesn't even cross your mind as a problem but at 46 it certainly does !!!

Morning all (again)

First post from the new pc - have got the modem part working now - time to see if i can connect the laptop via the router.

many thanks Tim - change of cable did the trick

Opto - The router was supplied with a cable in a bag labelled "ethernet cable" which turned out to be a normal modem phone cable not an ethernet cable. Will keep you updated on getting the laptop working on wireless

Fundamentalist - 25 Jun 2005 11:11 - 5313 of 24230

And now my first post wirelessly from the laptop.

Looks like i need to look at all the security settings but all seems to be working

jeffmack - 25 Jun 2005 11:58 - 5314 of 24230

Fundy, you will be working the tv remote soon!

Spaceman - 25 Jun 2005 12:08 - 5315 of 24230

fundy, size matters ;-)

Fundamentalist - 25 Jun 2005 12:12 - 5316 of 24230

Jeff

nothing too complicated on a saturday if you please

Tim :-) - thanks for your help again

Big Al - 25 Jun 2005 22:34 - 5317 of 24230

Nice evening for a stroll with the haggis - clockwise round the hill, of course.

Back to the Pouilly Fuisse. ;-)

Socrates - 26 Jun 2005 08:39 - 5318 of 24230

Pouilly Fuisse sounds awfully French to me.

optomistic - 26 Jun 2005 09:24 - 5319 of 24230

Umh, 'French' seems to have lost its appeal of late, German as well. Still leaves the Spanish I suppose which is not too bad.
Tesco this morning Socs?

Socrates - 26 Jun 2005 09:42 - 5320 of 24230

Tesco, possibly? Did some Waitrose yesterday so may not bother.

stockbunny - 26 Jun 2005 09:50 - 5321 of 24230

Morning chaps!
Had to kick start the computer this morning for number 2 son,
seems it's going through a tempremental stage when it only
seems to want to work properly with the bunny tinkering the
keys, as soon as a lad touches it, it plays up!
LOL

optomistic - 26 Jun 2005 09:50 - 5322 of 24230

Not shopped much this week, saved a fortune. Feeling peckish though :-)

stockbunny - 26 Jun 2005 10:05 - 5323 of 24230

I'll see ya all about tomorrow, have a nica day!
