First post from the new pc - have got the modem part working now - time to see if i can connect the laptop via the router.

many thanks Tim - change of cable did the trick

Opto - The router was supplied with a cable in a bag labelled "ethernet cable" which turned out to be a normal modem phone cable not an ethernet cable. Will keep you updated on getting the laptop working on wireless

And now my first post wirelessly from the laptop.

Looks like i need to look at all the security settings but all seems to be working

Umh, 'French' seems to have lost its appeal of late, German as well. Still leaves the Spanish I suppose which is not too bad.

Had to kick start the computer this morning for number 2 son,
seems it's going through a tempremental stage when it only
seems to want to work properly with the bunny tinkering the
keys, as soon as a lad touches it, it plays up!
LOL

Not shopped much this week, saved a fortune. Feeling peckish though :-)

A good few day wetting the tri-line,,not many fish caught but very relaxing.

I managed to miss a bit on my leg with the sun block yesterday, so I have a beetroot patch. Any good looking girls kind enough to want to make sure this doesn't happen next time please let me know!

afternoon all, just back home after a couple of days away. Van Morrison on Saturday was great and then spent Sunday in Brighton, which was also nice, even though its only about 35 miles from Hastings I hadn't been there for ages, in the sun it felt like Australia, definitely recommended for a long weekend.
