BLINX and you've missed it, the next google multi bagger!!! (BLNX)

Still Waiting - 25 Jul 2008 23:22

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

Yes, the annoying part is that Blinkx sp and the prospects are not on the same page,or even the same chapter! Not yet.

tabasco - 29 Nov 2009 12:12 - 535 of 6187

A guy on adv.. seems very sure there is going to be a merger announcement this coming Fridayramping to that extent is dangerousputting your head on the block is even more dangerousas a reasonably large holder i hope that Joseph Guillotine is not reincarnated.anyway this is what the poster has been saying:-

bains123 - 25 Nov

My next prediction is that we have merger news by next Friday the latest, I am unable or willing to elaborate any further.
-----------------------
I stand by my prediction that news regarding a merger will come by next Friday its only six more trading days to go. I will still be here whatever happens with my same user name to hear your pissy explanations when it happens.
----------------------
Using the word prediction as the poster does twice is probably just a metaphor for a wild clueless irresponsible guess
I have been following the trading patterns and volumes closely over the last monthI do not do chartsthey are for the Master and his merry mencharts represent formwhich equals influencewhich equals majority opinionwhich equals a favouritewhich equals poor valueWarren Buffett has just made his biggest investment ever in buying Burlington Northern Railroad Company in the USnow that has to be a 33/1 shot?if you bought our railway servicesyou would get change out of a 10.
I have my own theoriesthe speed of the placing and time scales suggest that it was not designed for institutionsDr. Lynch is regarded as an extremely clever and shrewd cookieto my knowledge the remainder of the placing has not been disclosedI believe AU have the power and motive to make sure blnx succeedand with that backing imo there is no down side from this pointthe sp has dipped 10% below the discounted offer?but no rush by those at the helm to get rns outand they do have a lot to talk aboutthis says to meconfidence at extreme high levels
The guy on adv is stating with a certain amount of confidence himself disclosure of a merger on Friday 4th that is exactly three weeks to Christmasnow as an astute lucky thicko? I kinda see where Mr. Bains is coming fromI aint got a clue to the authenticity of his revelationI certainly have nil information myselfand would not advise anyone to have a punt
I am looking forward to either a merger or the blade needs sharpening.if that not enough to get excited about Dubai's debt problemsBanks spouting more bulls*itfirst few days of the retail buying seasonand the ftse could struggle big timestay out of the red and into the blackshoot fu**ing Darlingand give Brown the sack!!! I am ready to play?

cynic - 29 Nov 2009 14:41 - 536 of 6187

surely no one believes that sort of unsupported rubbish? ..... if they do, then they and their money deserve to be parted

tabasco - 29 Nov 2009 15:09 - 537 of 6187

Cynic I do not believe the guy for one minutebut then I did not believe
Dubai would start to fail...who will be next...and who will save them?the World is running out of saviours.

tabasco - 30 Nov 2009 15:35 - 538 of 6187

Anyone remember blnx trading seven hours for 5300 sharesstrange but true?

ptholden - 30 Nov 2009 21:32 - 539 of 6187

But you believed BJM was the saviour of MDX? All of the above is pure speculation to divert attention away from the fact that BLNX need the cash to attempt expansion. Not much of what they have done thus far adds to the bottom line. Who said the placing would underpin the Sp at 18p? Another myth dispelled.

halifax - 01 Dec 2009 11:46 - 540 of 6187

pth so far they have a minus bottom line!

cynic - 01 Dec 2009 11:49 - 541 of 6187

tabby - the dubai fiasco has been brewing for a year or more ..... expats' abandoned cars at the airport said it all

halifax, my little shoddy maker, surely you do not hold these

tabasco - 01 Dec 2009 12:22 - 542 of 6187

There is a big difference with a few chancers legging it when the property market started to declineDubai World have $59bn of liabilities for startersUAE aint standing behind the debtpanic sets ininvestors pull money outBanks struggle with fundingFFS it has happened all over the World this last two yearsbut Dubai looked safe

cynic - 01 Dec 2009 12:49 - 543 of 6187

dope!
the expats leaving weren't "chancers", but generally speaking they were employees whose companies folded or whose contracts were terminated
construction work in dubai has been at a total standstill for the last year or more

tabasco - 01 Dec 2009 13:22 - 544 of 6187

"When the market collapsed and the emirates once-booming economy started to slow down, many expatriates were left owning several homes and unable to pay the mortgages without credit.

There were a lot of people living the high life, investing in real estate and a lifestyle they couldnt afford, one senior banker said.

Under Sharia, which prevails in Dubai, the punishment for defaulting on a debt is severe. Bouncing a check, for example, is punishable with jail. Those who flee the emirate are known as skips".

Better known by myself as chancers...and dope is something chancers tend to take!

halifax - 01 Dec 2009 13:24 - 545 of 6187

cynic BLNX is yet another "jam tomorrow" share, hope you don't hold.

tabasco - 01 Dec 2009 13:41 - 546 of 6187

HalifaxI am an investorJam tomorrow is ok with meI have waited for jam many timesand when it comes there has always been a nice blob of cream on topthose traders that need stakes to beat each other up on a daily basis are no good to the companyand no good to the sp.I have followed blnx for a good period of timewithout being temptedI became tempted at a good priceand a good timeI am happy to wait for the treat

cynic - 01 Dec 2009 13:59 - 547 of 6187

Shoddy - me hold? ..... not bloody likely .... and tabasco is just churning out press comment without first-hand knowledge

tabasco - 01 Dec 2009 14:37 - 548 of 6187

CynicI am not going to have first hand knowledgeI dont fly!and with you and Peter frequenting the placeyou are probably going to portray a biased handlewhat position were/are you two in?
What I have continually read paints a different picture chancers with a little clout getting stungand running for their livesprivately educated Arthur Daley'sthere were obviously a few genuine employees whose companies folded and whose contracts were terminatedbut they would not leave several homes and Mercs at the airport?come on get real the $59bn is another storyand one which is far more worryingjust a starter imo

cynic - 01 Dec 2009 14:42 - 549 of 6187

peter is in the navy and i am in the chemical transportation business, so neither of us has any axe to grind .....
i would greatly doubt that more than a handful of those who left had "several homes" ...... those employees who bought houses there would no doubt have done it in the expectation of being there a good many years ...... cars are a necessity
as for the end of the world being nigh as you imply, well i would doubt it greatly

tabasco - 01 Dec 2009 15:33 - 550 of 6187

Cynicyou have the greater first hand knowledge of Dubaibut I take your nom de plume when Bankers and Politicians speaklet time be the judge

tabasco - 02 Dec 2009 14:08 - 551 of 6187

Must be a new United Kingdom and all comers record for blnx... 180,900 shares traded in the last 23 market hoursis everyone sitting on the fence?

tabasco - 02 Dec 2009 14:28 - 552 of 6187

I make that an average of 12-58 traded every hour.mind-blowingthat fence must way a ton

chessplayer - 04 Dec 2009 07:58 - 553 of 6187
