Still Waiting - 25 Jul 2008 23:22

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

i believe the past tense is in order and/or PC is now clean, for assuredly it would have come under the closest scrutiny

Re: Ben Edelman unfair research
JonJon11

Would I be right in assuming that you are the same haystack who was "chased" from the LSE board for persistent de-ramping, around the time of the recent bear raid?

Haystack - 09 Feb 2014 21:32 - 5402 of 6187

Not sure why that was posted as I have always posted there and continue to do so.

Here is what I posted

Edelman was attacked by Google for producing unfair research when he showed that Google was favouring itself in search results.

The result is that Edelman has been proved to be right and Google promised only last week to change their search results in order to avoid a huge fine from the EU. Edelman has been correct in other exposures of bad practice & fraud over a number of years

panto - 09 Feb 2014 21:35 - 5403 of 6187

I'm asking
Haystack, explain your interest here

I am a share holder since last week, if you are really interested

If I HAD to chose between Blinkx and Edelman being right, I would on balance choose Edelman.

galatica - 09 Feb 2014 21:43 - 5405 of 6187

Last week you said only posting at iii and MAM, now turns out at LSE also.

panto - 09 Feb 2014 21:51 - 5406 of 6187

I am interested for lots of reasons. I used to own a software company (now retired mostly). This tends to make me interested in things like Blinkx. I can easily see how there are possibilities for fraud. In fact the possibilities are so varied and numerous that I would be amazed if it was not happening within companies similar to Blinkx. I used to trade shares in companies like this one, so I am interested from that point of view. It is also fascinating to watch and read the conspiracy theorists. It is turning out to be a gripping story. I have my own view based on some research and experiments. I have thought that this is a dangerous stock for the last three years or so.

Galactica
I post on ADVFN as well.

cynic - 09 Feb 2014 22:04 - 5409 of 6187

stop getting overexcited chaps ...... the question is not about you or hays, but rather a question of the probity of edelman's report and the integrity of BLNX management and its systems

as it stands, there are reasonable arguments on both sides, neither of which are proven .... however, it is certain that the market does not like uncertainty, so while everything is batted back and forth, considerable volatility should be expected

panto - 09 Feb 2014 22:06 - 5410 of 6187

Your comments are pointing to be short, mainly on saying sell at iii or de-ramping at LSE
is that the case?
come clean, instead of the going around on post 5407

Haystack - 09 Feb 2014 22:46 - 5411 of 6187

panto
No. I am not short. I did not say sell. The posting system allows you to choose an opinion. Sell is closest to my opinion. I can't say I actually care one way or the other. I suppose it is the same as when posters choose buy, but no one complains about that choice.

As cynic says, it is not about the posters. It is about what is really happening. The only value of posts here and on other BBs is that the posting of information and opinions help clarify one's view or it should.

Of course, almost everyone on a stock thread is long and tend to post and want to read positive comments on their favourite stock. Any negative comments attract plenty of abuse etc. This shows how bad it is to get so personally involved in a stock. The negative comments are often just as likely to be correct. Long poster don't want adverse comments to stop their stocks rising. They just want lots of reasons for it to rise.

Blinkx is a typical high risk tech stock where holders congratulate themselves on buying and justify the success of the company because the price is rising.

goldfinger - 09 Feb 2014 23:19 - 5412 of 6187

Is panto another Master RSI handle???????????????????????????????????????

Haystack - 09 Feb 2014 23:37 - 5413 of 6187

I think it is short for pantomime horse.

goldfinger - 09 Feb 2014 23:39 - 5414 of 6187

Ahhhhhh so it is Master RSI then.

cynic - 10 Feb 2014 08:47 - 5416 of 6187

MRSI, when he wasn't being totally abusive to other posters, was actually quite interesting

well done hays ..... part truth and part absolutely preposterous ....

of course BLNX is a high risk stock
of course investors congratulate themselves when sp rises - why else would you buy a stock?
you will recollect that BLNX languished raher badly until it started to produce genuine bottom line profit - reason for more cheer, and for very good reason, even if you don't like that fact; but then there's a lot of stuff you don't like for no sensible reason - or are just totally blinkered - as shown time after time on the NOWT thread

cynic - 10 Feb 2014 08:48 - 5417 of 6187

perhaps edelman is julie andrews' alter ego :-)
