Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

Off we go again......way undervalued here....two possibilities for Rockhopper : either raise a massive amount of capital to develop Sealion themselves or, "a farm in" of some kind ...bringing in the likes of BG....BP or Petrobas and such...and move on to other exploration wells and get some more acreage...

Happens every time they spud.
Perhaps if the RNS was to inform the market that the rig had actually sunk instead of just having a power down, tilting problem, the sp would have zoomed upward.

Mind you, all I am waiting for is to see what sort of 'Fudge' comes out of the EU meeting today, and what that will do to the markets in general.
I suspect that they will go down quicker than the drilling bit on the Ocean Guardian.

if we're all doomed, breath may as well be held for 10 minutes, or failing that, head in a bucket of water

like politicos everywhere and especially the MEPs, they are a bunch of self-seeking, puffed up and grossly overpaid timewasters

Here is a couple (a family come to think of it) that turned it into an art form. Revealed: How the Kinnocks have enjoyed an astonishing 10m ride on the EU gravy train

Their generous package of salary and perks included:

A total of 775,000 in wages for Lady Kinnock and 1.85 million for her husband, adding up to 2,625,000.

Allowances for Lady Kinnocks staff and office costs of 2.9million.

A 64,564 entertainment allowance for Lord Kinnock.

A total of five publicly-funded pensions, worth 4.4million, allowing them to retire on 183,000 a year.

A housing allowance that allowed them both to claim accommodation costs although, as a married couple, they lived in the same house in the Belgian capital between 1995 and 2004.

so much for socialism, eh Neil!

'Redistribution of wealth' he would call it! His visage would lend more credence to 'snouts in a trough' IMHO.
