JKX are a growth oil and gas company, principally based in the Ukraine, but also present in several other countries, and have recently presented some excellent results.

Interesting graph, dealerdear...still a 10 bagger surprisingly...bank your profits if you are still in it.

dealerdear - 06 Oct 2008 14:37 - 545 of 656

No not in but I am caught in several mining stocks.

Will just have to sweat it out.

hlyeo98 - 06 Oct 2008 14:40 - 546 of 656

Dealerdear, it's probably better to cut-loss and get in at a lower level.

dealerdear - 06 Oct 2008 14:42 - 547 of 656

too late I feel!

Either the SM goes bust (always possible) in which case I shall not be alone or at some point the SM will rally and I'll recoup

HARRYCAT - 06 Oct 2008 14:51 - 548 of 656

If you are holding the big guys (RIO, XTA, BLT etc) I think worth holding as at least you should get a divi of sorts until the stock recovers. If it's the little AIM miners then hlyeo may be right. Cut & run, imo.

dealerdear - 06 Oct 2008 14:53 - 549 of 656

XTA, PMO, ANTO, VED.

If they go under then we might as well give up!

JKX expect to get a higher price for gas in the Ukraine market in 2009. They are due to announce soon the tie in of the PPC production facility to the Soyuz pipeline to achieve export prices for gas. Development and exploration portfolios are expanding and the company had net cash at the half year. Time to buy?

hlyeo98 - 07 Oct 2008 11:15 - 553 of 656

Buy during X'mas. It will be on sale then.

justyi - 10 Oct 2008 14:22 - 554 of 656

Looks like hlyeo98 is right

scotinvestor - 10 Oct 2008 20:19 - 555 of 656

yes, he was right this week buying rbs at 123p........about 45% down in a few days.

hlyeo98 - 10 Oct 2008 21:47 - 556 of 656

You are so daft, scottie, can't even read. I bought HBOS at 123p and top up at 106p...I am in paper profit now.

required field - 14 Oct 2008 14:33 - 557 of 656

Crikey !....this one has hit the spring at the bottom of the lift shaft !.

justyi - 26 Oct 2008 22:05 - 558 of 656

Sell JKX now...very urgent at 168p.

dealerdear - 27 Oct 2008 14:18 - 559 of 656

why?

ptholden - 27 Oct 2008 16:41 - 560 of 656

RBS never got above 106p again Hlyeo, guess you're sitting on a 50% loss now

justyi - 27 Oct 2008 17:44 - 561 of 656

142p at close but still say to offload...bad news on the way.

cynic - 27 Oct 2008 17:58 - 562 of 656

certainly JKX have serious probs insofar as Ukraine is effectively bankrupt and being bailed out by IMF ..... the implications of that are hard to determine, but i am sure IMF would not allow Ukraine to nationalise JKX if that was in its mind

so tells us justyi, apart from the fact that all oilies and everything else are taking a pasting, what makes you single out JKX for your devotions?

ptholden - 27 Oct 2008 18:47 - 563 of 656

Amazing how many people have become share experts in the most vicious Bear market for years.
